This was a perfect family trip for us 3 generations over Thanksgiving. On our visit to the Asheville area, I had planned to be able to relax a little more in a comfortable setting with family that we don't see much, and it couldn't have been better. Gene was the ultimate host, attentive to every need but also giving us...

This is the third stay for me at the Acorn B&B - two this year. This small establishment is first rate. It's charming and comfortable with friendly, accommodating hosts. You feel like family. Don't pass this great little gem by. Gene's breakfasts are to die for! No store bought muffins - every day it's a new treat - eggs benedict,...

We stayed 3 nights at the Acorn Bed and Breakfast and never felt more at home away from home. The attention to detail was wonderful and the Turkish towels were so soft. Breakfast each morning was a delightful surprise of different smoothies, fresh fruit or cobblers, and a main hot delight. No wonder Gene is a professional chef.

We only stayed one night at the wonderful Bed and Breakfast when we were visiting the area. It's close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains that we wanted to visit during a week's vacation in North Carolina so we based our choice on the proximity to the areas we wanted to see as well as based...

The Acorn Bed and Breakfast in MiIl's River is absolutely the finest B&B we have been to. The facilities are excellent and clean and hosts Gene and Bob ensure all needs are met, especially the best, bar none, breakfasts we've ever had at a B&B. They are knowledgeable in about anything someone whats to do or explore in the area....

This was our fourth stay at Acorn B&B, and it is always a delight to visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there are so many thoughtful touches. Breakfast, of course, was out of this world. It had been two years since our last visit, yet Gene remembered that we both drink decaf and that my husband loves his...

Really enjoyed our time there! Fabulous breakfasts, pet friendly downstairs, great tour/restaurant recommendations! My only concern was, at least with my hearing, visits by our very friendly host to put stuff in the fridge/freezer in our refrigerator, without any notice. I could have been naked, much to his and my embarrassment! Would have appreciated a knock or notice that he...

I've stayed at the Acorn B&B twice and this is where I will land any time I take a break in Asheville. It's comfortable, reasonable, and the food is excellent. Bob and Gene are wonderful, thoughtful, friendly hosts. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The fact that it is a little bit out of the way makes it all the...

Gene is the keeper of "his" bed and breakfast. He takes a personal interest in being sure that any person that passes through his doors comes out feeling special. The chocolate acorns, the cookies left on the dresser in the evening, the welcoming morning breakfast and the friendly conversation were all part of something warm and unforgettable. Extra special treats...

Well it took us a couple of years of traveling before I ended up in a place worth 5 stars, but I found it! We spent 1 night only here, but we'll definitely remember it! The B&Bs location is a bit remote, it's best to get there by car. To get to a restaurant, you need to drive at least...
