This is a beautiful historic inn, beautifully restored, elegant and meticulously kept! The innkeepers paid close attention to my unusual small business needs and they took great care of us. We were able to use their private library for the afternoon which included a private bathroom and a sun porch! The food we requested was delicious and they were very...

Hosts were very attentive and friendly. Coffee at our door before breakfast and cookies in evening. Food was delicious, elegant, and creatively prepared. House has large rooms with sitting area and balcony to sit and take in scenery.

The hosts were great with their great and funny stories, wonderful advise about the local attractions, and super friendly. I total felt at home. I loved the breakfast and I'm a picky eater! And the rooms were big, beds comfy, and the place was very thoughtfully decorated. I just love how they kept the historic feel of the house. There...

I love B&Bs and this one is one of my favorites! Elizabeth City is such a delightful and quaint little town and staying with Georgene and Vidal makes the visit oh, so special! This review is long overdue, but my memories are as fresh as the first time I experienced the warm hospitality shown to me at Grice-Fearing House. The...

My husband and I were on our way to the Outer Banks to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were stopped and told that we could not enter the Outer Banks due to the Hurricane Matthew flooding. We were extremely stressed out and did not know what to do. We got on trip advisor and looked for places to...

A lovely B&B with even lovelier owner/hosts. Georgene and Vidal were a joy! Our accommodations were clean, spacious and more than comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and each morning the breakfast was elegant and delicious. Would definitely return! If I had to make a change, it would be access to coffee before 8:00 AM. I tend to be an early...

Every year we spend a week in the Outer Banks. We fly from the Midwest to Norfolk and from there we drive south and east. On the way, we spend the night at Grice-Fearing House B&B. We're a family of four - two adults and two children. We're always comfortable and welcomed and the house is lovely. We have dinner...

This past weekend my wife and I traveled to New Bern, NC and Deltaville, VA to inspect two boats we were considering. Rather than overnight in Deltaville and face a 7+ hour drive home, we started calling Elizabeth City, NC B&Bs. Of the 3 that my wife called, one didn't answer or return our call, one was full, and one...

What a lovely way to begin the day, swinging just outside outside our door on the second level porch. Also with fresh coffee available before an exquisite breakfast it was easier to get out of the comfy bed. This is a beautiful old house with charming and welcoming owners who know how to treat their guests to careful and welcoming...

My wife and I stayed here while on business in Elizabeth City and had a wonderful experience. It was clean, quite and Vidol and Georgene were a wonderful host and hostess and made us feel very comfortable, welcome and at home immediately. Our suite offered us plenty of space and the king size bed was perfect with a beautiful spacious...
