This is a very delayed review but having read some of the negative comments, I felt compelled to reply. This summer was our 3rd stay at Duke Towers and we loved it. My daughter was married in Durham in June, My husband and I arrived in May, thus we booked for a month. We also booked a block of rooms...

I was put up here for a film festival and while it was fine and suited the purpose of the visit, I must say it's a very weird and bizarre place. I'd have never picked this place on my own. The "double" accommodation room is made up of two double/full-sized beds (not Queens) and a fold out sofa. I imagine...

While I'm glad your needs were met, I have to say I'm a little confused by what you mean when you say "weird." I apologize that your room wasn't the Ritz, but several tenants lease apartments here, and every suite is going to be different from the next. Hope all is well. Best, Valerie, General Manager

Glad we found the Duke Tower condominium to stay for a few days to visit our son and his wife nearby. The folks at the reception was very friendly and helpful. All rooms were a one bedroom suite with kitchen. Very very clean. Being the first time staying there we stayed three days before heading to the Outer Banks. Because...

The building and rooms are a little bit run down, but clean and efficient. The cable TV never worked well, and the kitchen had the most minimum needed for breakfast. A good location, if you are going to do something at Duke University. It is just a few blocks from the East Campus, in a nice residential neighborhood. Unfortunately the...

First of all, thank you for staying. I apologize that your room wasn't as well-kept as you had hoped. But I can assure you -- they are not all like that. These condos are all privately owned, so quality of your suite really depends on who is leasing each individual condo. That said, we'd it if you gave us another...

We've stayed at Duke Tower at least 3 times for a week or so over the past several years. The staff (hi Tracey!) are always friendly and helpful. The condos cost the same or less than good hotels around Durham, but have a small living room, dining room, kitchen, bath and sizable bedroom. The pool is sparkling, and we always...

This is a great place to stay while in Durham N.C. A clean and spacious property with ample free parking, an on site laundry room, and a huge beautiful pool. A fully functional kitchen with a separate dining area, a living room and full bath room. A separate bedroom with a very comfortable Temperpedic ™ mattress, dresser chest and large...

We stayed at Duke Towers for three nights when we dropped our daughter off as a freshman at Duke University, and for three nights when she graduated. During her four years at Duke, we stayed at 4 or 5 other hotels, all the way from low-end freeway motels to the higher end luxury hotels. Duke Towers is the place we...

I'm happy you've relied on us for so long, and I thank you for showing your support! Our complex is now 100% smoke free and if someone is smoking in their suite then we need to know about it Otherwise, it sounds like your visits have been as enjoyable as they can be, and we'd love to see you again...

We have stayed at Duke Tower several times to visit family nearby in Durham. Its biggest draw for us is the pool. It has been closed for a week. High acid levels??? There does not seem to be any interest from Management to reopen in a timely manner.Premium rooms have a bit of pergo flooring not sure what else qualifies...

If the problems with the pool were disappointing enough to drive you away, then I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However, fixing the acid levels in a pool takes a lot of effort, and for the safety of our guests, we must take the appropriate time and care to correct the problem. This is not the norm, so I ask...

A bunch of us stayed at Duke Tower a couple of nights for a wedding in Durham and found this conveniently located combination of hotel and condos very comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen, good reading light (which is often a problem) -- a suite, really, of living room and bedroom. This was at least my fifth stay at Duke Tower, each time for 2-4 weeks, since 2007. Pluses include a spacious one bedroom condo with serviceable kitchen and room to socialize. Great beds. Nice staff.
