My boyfriend surprised me with a visit to Esmeralda Inn for Easter weekend. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin and it was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable with top quality linens. Everything in the cabin was top quality and we were just around the corner from the restaurant. The grounds are gorgeous. We had dinner in the restaurant and...

I have stayed at Esmeralda Inn two times approximately 15 years ago. I wanted to share the experience of the Inn and Chimney Rock with two of my grandchildren. We arrived late at the Inn not having ate dinner. The dining room was closed but the chef at the Inn prepared a cheese tray for us so we didn't have...

I love staying at places that are historic and have a story to tell. The Esmeralda has plenty of history celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. We stayed in the main building on the 2nd floor and I liked having a private balcony that overlooks the Broad River. The river was running full due to recent rains and at least...

So we just got back from a three day stay in Chimney Rock. We decided to stay at one of the Esmeralda Inn cabins. The inn is beautiful! We stopped here to check - in, and get our key. We booked the Chimney Rock cabin which is located down the road from the inn. It had three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms,...

We have stayed at the Esmeralda twice and this will certainly not be our last. The accommodations are excellent; staff's service is unsurpassed in friendliness and the views from the Inn are breath-taking. The only way we will return to Chimney Rock and not stay at the Esmeralda Inn is if we stay in one of their beautiful cabins! And...

We have been past the Esmeralda several times in past while visiting the mountains. This particular visit we had an event to attend approximately 30 minutes away and decided to give this hotel a try along with another couple. We all were highly pleased with the comfort and coziness, a staff that went overboard to please and accomodate, the rustic beauty...

My wife and I were staying in a cabin on Lake Lure and, being foodies, were hoping to find some good local places to eat without having to drive to Asheville. We saw the Esmeralda Inn as we drove by one day and were intrigued so we made reservations and had dinner at the restaurant. The service and food were...

We decided on a whim to stay here for a night. What an excellent idea on our part. The staff was so warm & welcoming. The game room is fantastic. The bed is like sleeping on a big pillow. Awesome food!

Have a lot of nice things to say about this Inn. The Inn is beautiful, especially the front entry with its big fireplace and unique stairway. The staff is wonderful, starting with the tour of the facility they give you on arrival. The complimentary breakfast is excellent; they take your order the night before. The hot tub was relaxing and...

*The staff was great. Treated you like family. They honestly cared that you had a great experience. *The bed was very comfortable. It was like sleeping on a pillow, which was great even though I like firm beds. The towels felt like mine very soft and absorbant. *The view was serene and beautifully . You could hear the the roar of...
