Ok sure...nostalgia is a strong force, but there is something to be said about this little treasure. It has been her ever sense my childhood years (almost 20 years ago!) It is still a very nice place and very close to the fun. I especially love how close it is to the river. It is a unique place I always...

We stayed at the Pink Motel for night and found it to be an older motel but very clean with a beautiful river view right outside the back door. It was nothing fancy but had a comfortable bed and was pretty quiet despite it being very close to the road. The staff was attentive and polite. We would stay there...

Had forgotten about the "PINK MOTEL!" Our family took a mountain vacation in 1990 with our teen daughters and stayed here. Loved the location, river running in the back just beautiful. The girls waded in the water on the rocks and had much fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We were talking about the "PINK HOTEL" not long ago and...

I enjoyed staying here . It's a 1950's motel and everything is pink. The back of the motel is facing the river where you can sit or cookout. Lots of people get rocks out of the river and write their names and dates of their stay. If you look around you'll see people have come many years in a row...

Just stayed here for the 1st time for a change in our usual routine. Really enjoyed this place. It is a retro, straight from the 50's style motel, and some things are in need of repair, but doesn't take away from the charm. Everything is PINK. Pink tile in the bathroom, pink sheets on the bed, etc... The view and...

We had stayed here back in the early 90's and wanted to visit again,. The area is much more built up, than it was back then. The Pink Motel has not lost it's charm. All rooms open up to a porch with a wonderful view of the very clean Oconaluftee River. There are plenty of chairs, picnic tables and even...

Pleasant, quiet, and comfortable! My only complaint (minor but worth mentioning) is that the cigarette smoke from outside got into my room. I was in a nonsmoking room but the cigarette smoke smell from outside the room still made its way in.

Spent 4 nights here. Location is perfect. Room was spotless. Yes, it's old and not the luxurious rooms down the street but quiet, friendly and the river is out the back door and no balcony to restrain you from pulling up a chair and sitting on the bank. 3 bull elk visited twice during our stay! Newfound Restaurant across the...

My husband and I have been staying here every year for almost 10 years when we visit Cherokee. Mrs. Faye is the best. Her rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. They have great rates and have the creek behind the motel. Peaceful and serene. I'm looking forward to my next visit there!
