We were in Cherokee overnight and refuse to pay the prices the casino hotel and those close by charge. We found Rivers Edge after some research; the room was very clean and updated, the furniture comfortable and modern, the view from the balcony delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here in future during our...

I picked this place out as a stand-out by doing my research and this property did not disappoint. Not only was the location exactly where you'd want to be in Cherokee but the private balcony overlooking the river is the reason why you'll want to return to this hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. Lots of stuff...

Overall, this was a pretty good place to stay. Clean for sure, and updated furnishings too. No breakfast of any kind, and that is probably my only real reason for not rating it higher. Nice staff as others have mentioned. Couple of places to eat close enough to walk, Pauls, Dairy Queen, Newfound Lodge Restaurant to name three.

I will definitely go back to this location the beautiful view overlooking the river was breath taking with the view of the smoky mountains as well. The employees were extremely helpful with the knowledge of what historic sites to see where they were and also knowledge of the great shop's to go too. I cannot wait till my next trip...

Love this place. It is right on the river. The staff was excellent. The room was clean. Close to places to eat, to shop and gem mine. We was able to feed the ducks right from our balcony. I would definitely stay again and I recommend it to all my friends.

Very easy to book and good value for money. Rooms were very clean and quiet overlooking the river at the rear. Unfortunately we arrived late and had to travel to the Econo Lodge to pick up ours keys. Staff here were very helpful as well. Good nights sleep had by all and views over the river were a bonus in...

My husband and I have stayed here a few times and are already booked for October for my birthday. I can't wait, this particular hotel is a main reason! It's tranquil sitting on the balcony. I would like to say this to the potential new visitors, the 2 negative reviews are completely wrong! There is no noise from the road,...

Nice clean updated room right on the Oconaluftee River in Cherokee, NC. You can feed the duck right of your private balcony. Room rates very reasonable. Felt very safe. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants . Minutes away from the Great Smokey Mountain National Park entrance. When we go back for vacation we will definitely stay here!
