I stayed here over New Year's and loved it. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the rooms are really nice (comparable to a Hampton Inn) and it's super, super clean. It looked like the room had been redone recently, e.g. furniture, carpet, bedding, bathroom, drapes, flat screen tv, etc. all looked really new. Each room has a...

We weren't sure where we wanted to stay, but we wanted it to be affordable. Well this place is a Diamond in the Rough! It's been recently been rehabbed. Very clean, comfy and great view's overlooking the river with a private balcony to sit out an enjoy the peacefulness. I definitely recommend this place and I will stay here again...

Overnight stay in Cherokee on our way to Gatlinburg. We booked on the way up there, and they made arrangements for us to pick up the key at another hotel since we would be checking in after hours. The check in and check out process was smooth. It is a lot better on the inside than it looks on the...

This is a lovely little place to stay near the heart of Cherokee. It's right on the main road through town so parking is a little challenging, especially if traffic is busy. Each room has its own balcony overlooking the clean charming river behind the motel. The room was very clean, newly painted/decorated, and despite being next to the road,...

To be honest, we only rented here because all of the name brand hotels were full. We are so happy that we did! We were skeptical at first, but I had looked on TripAdvisor and found great reviews so we went for it. The room was very clean and spacious. But I really need to tell you that the VIEW...

I stayed two nights . . . It was very peaceful. The view was great especially with the fall foliage! My room was kept very clean and well-stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. I will most definitely be back. Thanks to motel staff for a great stay!

We were in Cherokee overnight and refuse to pay the prices the casino hotel and those close by charge. We found Rivers Edge after some research; the room was very clean and updated, the furniture comfortable and modern, the view from the balcony delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here in future during our...

I picked this place out as a stand-out by doing my research and this property did not disappoint. Not only was the location exactly where you'd want to be in Cherokee but the private balcony overlooking the river is the reason why you'll want to return to this hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. Lots of stuff...

Overall, this was a pretty good place to stay. Clean for sure, and updated furnishings too. No breakfast of any kind, and that is probably my only real reason for not rating it higher. Nice staff as others have mentioned. Couple of places to eat close enough to walk, Pauls, Dairy Queen, Newfound Lodge Restaurant to name three.

Adored this place. Very peaceful. Beautiful view. Definitely plan on returning soon. The staff was super helpful and very courteous. We could not have asked for a better place. Can't beat their prices either. Absolutely love it!
