This is a beautiful place close to downtown but it needs a lot of work.... The rooms smells mildews, they do not all have central heat, the mattresses need to be updated, the staff is casually trained. It is not expensive but it is too much for what you get.

We live in the same neighborhood as the Morehead Inn and needed a place to stay for three days during some renovations at home. The staff at the Inn made us feel so welcome (with three little ones) that we almost didn't want to leave! We have many friends who stay at the Morehead Inn for business in Charlotte, and...

There's not much left of historic Charlotte and not much to choose from if you like to stay in inns as we do. This place's downstairs public rooms are fine, but the room we were in (Berkeley) was large but a bit rundown, with a minuscule TV. It's not far from downtown or the airport, but is located on a...

Stayed for about a week to conduct business - stayed in several of the rooms – all beautifully appointed, clean, quiet, and serene. Philomena is the Irish innkeeper with such class and attention to every detail. She accommodated me and made me feel right at home – really appreciated her unique, professional style. Tracie, the guest services manager was also...

Staff is wonderful, rooms are wonderful, food was great too!! Awesome , my wife and I love this place. We've been on two separate occasions and both were equally amazing. The proximity to everything is a huge plus. Great neighborhood as well.

I'd like to rename the "Morehead Inn" to the "Moreheat Inn." After spending our first time in Charlotte at the Morehead, my fiancé and I left in utter disbelief that this beautiful bed and breakfast's "Royal Elegance" mantra it has on its website means rooms don't all come with heat and staff will take liberties to move all of your...

We spent three nights at the Morehead Inn. This is a lovely old home offering great hospitality. The staff are very nice and breakfast was delicious. We were very sorry that we had to leave for an early flight out and missed breakfast on our last morning. Our only complaint was that our room was cold despite an impressive space...

My husband is at Carolinas Med Center, awaiting an artificial heart operation. I needed a get-away for an overnight respite from the stress. Philomena, the resident manager, was so very kind and welcoming. She made me feel like a most welcomed guest in her home. Loved the atmosphere and furnishings-very charming. Bed was very comfortable, bath had all accessories needed...

Stayed here on the way to Chapel Hill. Very nice B/B, although it needs some touching up outside. The lady at check in was very nice even upgrading us to a suite, at the same cost, when we complained of the smell in the first room. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Good location, nice neighborhood . Would stay there again.

I booked a suite during February 2016 for an awesome price on the Internet. Just staying one night but cheaper than all uptown hotels. This quintessential southern property in located extremely close to Uptown Charlotte, easy walking distance, for those so inclined (be inclined...Walking Charlotte Uptown is a great experience). There are several buildings in which to stay and the...
