If you're looking for a good deal, convenient location, clean place to stay with friendly & helpful staff, I would recommend this place. We didn't use the pool, though it was almost warm enough at the end of October - and it certainly looked like a clean and inviting area to relax in. The property is older, but the housekeeping... We really appreciate your terrific review of our Inn, our team and our location. Thank you for making our engineering team aware of the issues in your room. This allows us to correct the problems- replace a mattress and TV cable before your next stay! We really appreciate your loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back! More

This was my first occasion to return to this location since my review of February, 2016. I am happy to say that the location has had improvements and the staff is every bit as good as they were before. Two items to mention: 1) The swimming pool has been completed and the plaza area looks very nice. Of course it... More

Hi Allen, Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing to stay with us again! Like you, we are thrilled with the new pool and courtyard area. The pool will open again in the spring complete with tanning deck, bench seating and a built in basketball goal, so pack your swimsuit! In the meantime, we hope to see you... More

The service here is great, but I can't say that I will stay here again. The beds were not very comfortable and although the room is clean it is a little dated. There also wasn't much to watch on TV. Again the staff was very friendly, but this is definitely a 3 star hotel and I would prefer a 4... More

We really enjoyed staying here. It was very clean with a very nice looking pool and very reasonably priced. Anything you needed was within walking distance. There is a real nice indoor mall close that we enjoyed very much because all of the stores are unique. No chain stores. We spent quite a few hours there. This Inn also has... More

The staff was very nice and helpful during my four day stay. They helped me arrange transportation for my business meetings. I left one of my bags on the sidewalk outside my room. I called to ask about it, and they mailed it to me the next day!

We tried this hotel for the first time while visiting family because it was a big football weekend in Chapel Hill and the place we usually stay at was booked. We did not even know about this place before. The lobby is sports themed. Other reviewers are correct in noting that this hotel is older, but it is clean, quiet... More

We were coming in from Tennessee to visit family and help with clean up after Hurricane Matthew. We were forced to stop due road closings, Ect. The people were sympathetic and caring! We will be back!

We came to stay here for a weekend visit to UNC (a football weekend, so we were surprised by the good price of the rooms). We had two rooms reserved for us and our children. The Chapel Hill University Inn may be a bit older and an amenity or two found in four star hotels, but it more than compensates in the quality of the essentials--the linens, overall cleanliness and, dare I say it, hospitality.
