This is my second time here. Preserved historic lodge built back in the 20's. I love the simple cozy rooms. Ceiling fan in the rooms. Very welcoming. I love the front porch with rockers and the common room/lobby with the fireplace to just sit and read the paper, play a puzzle, watch TV or use your computer. Hot water and...

This Inn is what a mountain retreat was meant to be & it has been this since the 1920s. The rooms are naturally dated, but the beds are new and everything is well-kept and clean. The common area and porch are comfortable and a puzzle is on-going. The food was excellent! The staff was friendly and engaging, interested in the...

Personal service from on site staff-they will go out of their way to take care of you. Ambience- like a National Park lodge, not a cookie cutter chain hotel Great food- breakfast and dinner, old school You should stay here !

Sometimes when you travel you look for something a bit different from the chain hotels. The reviews for this lodging looked interesting and so we made reservations. Check in was easy and we made our dining reservations right away. Our room was large with two beds, two chairs, a dresser and four windows. We knew there was no air conditioning,...

If you are looking for A/c and the latest amenities this is not for you. But if you are looking for outstanding service and rustic charm at a good value, look no further. Our family of six stayed in the family suite-3 queen beds, 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in between. The rooms were very spacious. The mattresses were new...

Just arrived today, so glad to be back. Everything is great and we always feel fortunate to be at the Fryemont Inn. We love it here and enjoy spending really great family time together. The Fryemont is truly a home away from home. Thank you Brown Family.

What it doesn't have: air conditioning, a modern feel, etc. What it does have: the feeling of being in a rustic, homey lodge with a grand fireplace and warm company. We've stayed here for 3 years in a row and love being greeted by the friendly staff and Punkin the cat. The rooms are clean and comfortable--we put a fan...

I love old lodges like this. Nestled in the woods with creaking floors, warmly lit wood walls, and the smell of fireplace smoke and pine. The place has been completely preserved; very little has changed here in the decades since it was built. And I should know: I stayed here when I was 5 and 6 years old!!! If that's...

If you are looking for a modern upscale hotel, you will probably want to pass up the Fryemont Inn in Bryson City, NC. But, if you want to enjoy a rustic hotel in the Smokie Mountains, this may be the place for you. The Fryemont Inn is nearing 100 years old, and it features amenities of a bygone era. It...

Loved the feel of this big old wooden hotel. You can feel the history of the place, it is not trying to be retro, it is genuine! Sitting out on the front porch overlooking Bryson City in a rocker supping a cold beer, what could be a better to start to your evening. The hotel has a great and well...
