I have never written a review for trip advisor before but I felt the urge after our two night stay. We were planning on tent camping for two nights. This would have been our children's first experience with "roughing it." One day before our arrival, I panicked based on the weather. RAIN!! I did not want our children's first camping...

Thank you for staying at Ash Grove and for your 1st time review. It was fortunate that we had a cancellation for the cabin so that your children didn't have a wet camping trip. The mountains of Western NC are a temperate rainforest, so there is a chance of an afternoon shower--somewhere in the area--most days. Plan for that and...

I've been coming here for nearly a decade... I call it 'A slice of paradise'. Mark & Steven deeply care for the campground; therefore, most all of the campers do as well. I appreciate being at a place that is so clean and natural... It doesn't compare to other campgrounds, which seem over-used and often rather disrespected by the campers....

We appreciate the many times that you have stayed here over the years and the friendship that we have developed. One of the special things about having so many repeat guests here at Ash Grove, is that we have the privilege of watching the children grow into adults over the years, as we have with your family. Our great guests...

My husband and I stayed at the Iris site for 5 nights in July. It was outstanding! The site is very secluded (as most are). The only advice I would give is either pack light or be prepared to haul your things (the way back is uphill from Iris). But the scenery is totally worth it, in my opinion! Mark...

Thank you for camping at Ash Grove. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Our walk-to tent sites are between 25 and 200 yards from the bathhouse, so we can try to tailor your site to how far you want to walk (and we even have a few drive-to sites). We look forward to seeing you again.

I took my daughter up for a weekend of camping. We've been going to Ash-Grove for 9-10 years now, but we've never camped. The camping was as nice as staying in a cabin. Mark and Steven take pride in Ash-Grove, and it shows in the facilities and their demeanor. Anyone who wants an out-of-the-way, but not-too-far-from town, peaceful and welcoming...

Your many stays in our cabins over the years are greatly appreciated and we are glad that you enjoyed your first camping trip at Ash Grove. We hope to see you soon, in either a cabin or a campsite!

We have really enjoyed the campground. Small and clean is always better than the huge KOA type campgrounds in my book. The campground is close to lots of attractions and there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained in the area. I would recommend Ash Grove to anyone with smallish campers and to people who are fairly mobile due...

Thank you for staying at Ash Grove. We are a small campground designed for smaller RVs (28' maximum trailer length and 32' motorhome) so that we can offer our guests a quieter and more intimate experience. The walk to the bathhouse at our mountaintop location is part of our "no extra charge fitness program". Guests who have difficulty are welcomed...

This is our first time visiting Ash Grove, although I grew up just a couple of miles from the campsite. We had our 28 foot travel trailer and were amazed at the balance of how 'in the woods' we felt at our campsite and how easy it was to get out to visit family, enjoy Brevard, visit Dupont and Pisgah...

Well let's start with this is my 4th year coming to Ash Grove. The staff does a great job keeping up with the campgrounds and cabins. This year they added 2 new features, the Gnome Home and the Elf Shelf. We elected to try out the Elf Shelf for the 4th of July weekend. We were very pleased with the...

Thank you for continuing to be a loyal guest of Ash Grove. As you were the inaugural guests in the new Elf Shelf, we appreciate your feedback and your help in getting the word out! Since you have already reserved a cabin for the holidays, we know we will be seeing you then--if not before.

Better late than never... my family of six camped here for the first time last summer. Ash Grove is an oasis of serenity. Mark (is dark) and Steve were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel like family. The campground is clean and the bathrooms are well maintained. Since returning back to Florida we have...

We appreciate your staying with us and sharing your experience with others. We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Brevard. *A brief explanation about "Mark is dark". Sometimes, people can't remember which of us is Mark and which is Steven, so, since Mark's hair is much darker than Steven's, we share that little memory-jogger with...

Good morning guys. We wanted to let you know that we had a great time this past weekend staying at Ash Grove. To celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary, my husband and I returned to Ash Grove to tent camp in the most peaceful of settings.
