We had a great time tent camping at Flintlock. I'm a fairly minimalist camper, which isn't the case of most of the folks here, but we got along pretty well with everyone. If you want privacy, this probably isn't your campground, since there isn't really a separation between the sites besides a delineation. We were in site 7, which had...

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend while attending the Boone bike rally. Very friendly place reminded me of camping as a child lots of kids playing and running around. The sites are a little close together but overall not a bad place. The bathouse was clean but small.

This campground has the benefits of being close to Boone and still has the feel of being in the woods. The road is close by but is quiet at night. Our group included our family and good friends of ours. We rented two cabins (10 and 11) right next to each other. Many other groups did the same thing. The...

The site was nice, clean, pet friendly. We will be back! Our 1st camper trip was here. People were very helpful and didn't make us feel stupid setting up our new camper (thanks Jeff). Close to stores. Just an gr8 experience we had. Our last min. Trip turned into one of the best decisions we could've made

Flintlock Campground was exactly what we had hoped for. We will be back and hope to stay longer next time. Bathrooms were very clean. Campground laid out nice. Our campsite was right beside the creek and we loved it.

I really like setup of this campground but the owners need to put some work into it to make it great. Some of the lots are set up oddly and the power and water connections seemed to be shared? Make sure you bring extra long power lines and water hoses. When it gets cold the power matrix cannot handle the...

Convenient to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Pkwy. We planned to stay 3 nights but ended up staying for a week due to some mechanical difficulties. They were very understanding of our situation and had no problem allowing us to stay longer. Some of the sites can be a little tricky as is the entrance, but we managed. We had...

Kids and dogs everywhere. Sites are so close that some rv's can't put their awning out. Very noisy, not relaxing at all. You should check out the campground 7 miles NE of Boone...www.vanderpoolcampground.com

We are staying here for a month and really enjoying our stay. Park very clean, staff always helpful. We had cable and it had most of the channels we watch. Beautiful Laurl Creek rims the park and the kids loved the water.
