We usually stay at flintlock campground down the road but decided to try this place. We will continue to come here. More privacy here and and has a woodsy feel. Very quiet and more for the kids to do. The bathrooms could use some love but other than that it's great. This is going to be our new place to...

Honey bear is so clean, relaxing, and a great place for families. The owners are nice and staff is always helpful and happy. The bathrooms are clean with hot showers. We camped in a 30ft travel trailer, with our 4 boys. They had so much fun. Definitely recommended this campsite to anyone, we will come back again.

From the moment I pull into the drive I feel a calm come over me. I'm home! Honeybear is almost magical to me! From the adorable farm babies to the open space, I can finally breathe. We took a spontaneous trip to boone and found this campground online, i read the reviews and was a little nervous but to my great suprise this place is the best campground i have ever stayed at. We made this trip without my husband, a nice youngman helped me get my rv backed in and the next day another staff...

Excellent place friendly, family run. Upon entering they were very helpful. They delivered wood to us. We have a great spot with no one to the right of us. We did rent a car so we wouldn't have to drive our hotel all over. I do agree with the comments about the bathroom. The water is hot once you find...

This is a family run campground that's clean and well maintained but we have had the worst luck with appropriate spots. Booked a site after the 4th of July and after the crowd cleared from the holiday weekend 80% of the campground was empty. We understood that they were booked full the first night we were there and accepted our...

Location, location, location. We visited Honey Bear campground recently and had a very enjoyable experience. My young kids loved it. It's only about 10 minutes from downtown Boone so you can easily pop down to the restaurants or shops then head back up. Very convenient. We booked a primitive tent site which had a fire ring and picnic table. The...

We made our reservations over the phone for 4 nights. When we arrived at the campground at 3:00pm on a Friday, there was a map on the door with our name and the camp site circled. We never saw anyone that worked at the campground our entire stay. The bath houses were cold and dated! The toilet rooms were very...

This campground is pretty dated, and the bath facilities are in need of updating. They also need to add more lighting, particularly outside the bath house where there is not enough lighting for safety purposes. For what I needed for this one night, it was fine. I probably would look for another place to camp if I were in the...
