We have stayed here a couple of different times. You really get the feel of staying in a cabin in the woods as they have a large central sitting area with fireplace, pool tables and television. Everyone just sits on couches and chairs and relaxes with WiFi or goes outside on the balcony to enjoy nature. We have visited here... More

I've been staying at the Smoketree Lodge with my daughter for years. It is very inexpensive, has lots of amenities, but is NOT the Hilton in terms of finishes. It really reminds me of a summer camp. It's creaky and quirky, but has lots of perks like an indoor pool and hot tub, a HUGE game area with a pool... More

The rooms were clean and we appreciated the amenities. THe staff was pleasant but the area was a bit dated. The gift shop has a nice variety and we were surprised how much we appreciated the "small stuff". THe value is a deal. I have allergies and they did a good job catering to my allergies.

This lodge is certainly worth checking out. We went in search of snow and to give skiing a try. Unfortunately no snow but the Smoketree lodge was a nice getaway place to be. Rustic looking just as others have described. Beds comfortable, and great price. Would definitely go there again if we can make it when it is actually snowing.

We have an annual time share here, have had for over ten years. It is a worn sometimes slightly shabby property BUT ------ It is clean, well located and has a very nice friendly staff. The pool / gym area is great especially in colder weather. Outside BBQ area and nice lodge setting.

I stayed there with my grandkids one weekend. I was really surprised at how nice the room was. Had a bid old timey bed and the bathroom is awesome. Even had makeup removal pads for the women and lots of towels and cloths. I really liked the kitchenette even though we didn't use it. Its fairly close to restaurants so... More

We stayed here as part of a timeshare exchange. it was not fancy or glamorous, but was just fine for our vacation style. We don't hang out at resorts much- we want to explore the area. We had a one bedroom that was supposed to sleep four people (using the sofa bed). The living room are was small and the... More

We are not hard to please but we certainly expected more from a timeshare. This place also serves as a motel (no-tell). It might be all right for one night, we moved out after 2 down the road to Foscoe. Foul odor in the room. Living area was crowded with a large sofa (we sat on beach towels as it... More

Spent 5 days here early Sept. 2012...Must be off season, leaves due to change in about three weeks and school back in...had very few guests...most nights only 3 or 4 cars in the parking lot...Felt as if I had a private hot tub and heated pool, as at the end of each day I used them and never saw another... My husband and I have been timeshare owners at Smoketree since soon after it was converted from motel to timeshare in the mid-to-late '80s. We bought at this location for one reason: We love the mountains and wanted to make sure we made it up here from the coast at least one week a year; we were not really interested... More
