My wife and I really enjoyed our Valentine's Day/Anniversary at the Gideon this year. We opted for the Sunrise Suite and loved the spectacular views and amenities. There is a great attention to detail, and the staff added to the great experience. The dinner was great and we look forward to returning again someday. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Victorian Room at Gideon Ridge Inn. The antique furnishings, fireplaces, and decor were very warm and welcoming. The room also had a private terrace with view, but it was too cold to use it. The room and the entire Inn was immaculate. We didn't have dinner but we had appetizers in our room...

Gideon Ridge is a fantastic place to stay for a great short getaway from Charlotte. The staff is great and it makes one feel miles away from the rush of life. We enjoyed sitting around the fireplace in the library and walking around the grounds.

I just have to say that nothing is perfect. We checked in....no water in the bathroom and no fire in the fireplace BUT.... as with any wonderful place the staff makes the difference. Literally within minutes water was running and fire was flickering. The staff here made it their MISSION to make us happy. They were so incredibly engaged in...

This inn is amazing in all ways: cozy rooms, a fire burning in the common room, great tea at tea time, amazing views! Although you don't have to eat at the restaurant, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try to eat there!!

We had a brief but lovely overnight stay at the Gideon Ridge Inn. The staff was very welcoming and the light dusting of snow the following morning made for an enchanting view. The restaurant was excellent and we very much enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast (the latter included in the room rate) there. All in all we would highly...

My wife and I stayed three nights having dinner at the in-house restaurant once and breakfast included in the rate daily. The dinner was excellent, a bit pricey it prepared and the served breakfasts were very good Facility could use some renovation. We booked a room with a gas fireplace specifically due to that feature. Disappointingly it did not work....

My only comment is that we noticed some people who came in later for tea, which is served between 4 and 5pm, and other couples, including ourselves, had already consumed the sandwiches, etc. so I hoped the later arriving couple was also given tea sandwiches, etc. We also put a do not enter sign on our door, but someone came...

This in sits close to blowing rock monument. Gorgeous view from the top of the mountain looking down into the valley. Lovely gardens to sit and read a book. Hundred-year-old stone inn with very modern facilities but old world feel. Love this place. Since I was last there two or three years ago they've added TVs and modernized some aspects...
