We visited Blowing Rock, NC, but had our 2 year old yellow lab with us. The Hillwinds Inn has 2 very nice pet friendly rooms, and were very accommodating. They had wine and cheese in the late afternoon, and breakfast. The rooms had wi-fi, and a kitchenette. The Inn is within walking distance of the downtown are. It was perfect...

If you love Hampton Inns, you probably won't like this motel. It's a bit of a throwback to the 60s--you can park right outside your door. The room is small but charming--just like this beautiful town. Very clean and very safe.

The entrance to the room was like a motel. The room was pretty small. The bathroom was really small. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Good price and location. We stayed during early January and had to travel through snow and the unplowed parking lot to get the breakfast in the main building. There weren't a lot of...

While we were on our way there we got a phone call from someone in the office asking if we wanted to stay at the Village Inn since we were the only guests that were booked for the Hillwinds Inn. We declined because we were already looking forward to staying at the Hillwinds Inn. The room was lovely, it was...

This is an adorable little cluster of 'Inns' within the charming little town of Blowing Rock, NC. A bit pricey, but still very quaint and adorable...just a block from the town so within walking distance (which we did) to the shops and restaurants. Two of these Inns (including this one) are PET-FRIENDLY and we saw many other people there with...

Everything was spotless. There was a glitch in our reservation so we were upgraded to a larger suite. It was beautiful & the gas fireplace was heavenly. The inn is within walking distance to downtown. We didn't make it to breakfast so no review there. I would certainly stay again.

Room just adequate , over priced for accommodation. Parking terrible, trees near cottage need to be trimmed, scratch pickup truck. Good location to Main Street. Bathroom very small. Nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn't stay again.

We stayed at the Hillwinds Inn in late October when the fall season color was almost at peak and it was beautiful. The location is excellent on Sunset Drive , a few blocks from main street . The Inn has renovated all their rooms 20 . in the anex to the Inn, they all have hardwood floors and rooms have...

We stayed 2 nights at Hillwinds Inn. The room was really nice - two double beds. There was also a high table and 2 chairs in a small alcove - it added more space to the room and provided a place for setting up cheese and crackers. Outside there were 2 rocking chairs. Our room was on the corner so...

We made a last minute trip for one night- up to see Blowing Rock & Grandfather Mountain--we first drive by and went to Village Inn-, they were all booked and kindly called to see if Hillwinds had a room- 1 left! This is a sister property just around the corner. What a surprise! It is an older property (gave me...
