I just stayed with my in laws for a murder mystery weekend. The hotel was clean. Food was excellent. Staff was friendly. I would stay there again. I love that it had a haunted history to it also though I didn't have any experiences myself.

My husband and I travel to the Boone/Blowing Rock area every February for a Valentine's weekend and have always stayed at a nice, chain hotel in Boone. This year the room I wanted was booked so I started a search for an alternative. I found The Green Park Inn on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. It...

It's the real thing, so it's not a modern hotel. Slightly drafty on the foggy winter weekend we spent in Blowing Rock, but made up for it in charm and authenticity. Good solid service and a good restaurant saved our having to navigate the highway in the fog in the dark! Next day we were a stone's throw from town...

Having a hard time leaving this Beautiful Historic Place of Peace and Tranquility! If it weren't for Perry at check-in I might have made a mistake and left this amazing gem. She went well above and beyond making my stay here memorable. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff serving us; Matthew as well as others made us feel like someone...

Nice entry view once you get past the 2, now 7 year, road construction. Quaint renovated historic hotel. Pleasant staff and Paulie greeting, dog to our pup! Clean room with nice parkway view on large porch. Small TV screen but who vacations to watch tv? Looking forward to trying out the hotel Divide Tavern, for dining. Tomorrow into blowing rock...

Thank you for staying! I'm glad you made it past the construction, which remains a challenge, but hopefully one that will be over soon. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay as much as you've enjoyed the beginning of it!

This place is on a busy street but we didn't hear much for road noise except during the day, when the construction was active. The hotel is clean and quaint. They had tea and coffee available for us. The best part is that you are across the street from Blowing Rock.

Thank you for reviewing! I'm glad the construction wasn't disruptive, and we do try to place guests away from it as much as possible. I'm happy to know you enjoyed your stay and afternoon tea. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Blowing Rock, as well!

We stayed for one night, a Saturday. Upon arrival we were immediately charmed by the gentleman playing piano in the lobby. After changing for dinner, we enjoyed a peaceful glass of wine lounging in the lobby listening to his music. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. Our room was a "superior king" with a balcony which...

Thank you for reviewing! As you mentioned, there is a lot of work to be done on this 126 year historic hotel. In fact, over the winter months, we have been able to replace more of the carpeting in the hallways, and renovate the public ladies restroom. We are excited for our next steps! I'm so happy that you had...

A co-worker recommended this 126 year old inn to us and we loved it. My husband and I stayed one night, in a junior sweet. The room was clean, quiet, had a sitting area, a walk in closet and most important, the bed was extremely comfortable. Full breakfast (order off of a menu) was included. The young man at the...

No Ghosts, just a lovely historic inn! We stayed two nights in a huge room with a comfy bed. We had the complimentary breakfast both mornings and the food was good, coffee not so much. The second evening we also had dinner and it was great. Service was great that night, too. We loved relaxing and listening to Charlie serenade...

As others have said, a real mixed bag. On the good side, the front areas inside are gorgeous, the restaurant is quaint with good breakfast food, the hotel has a nice character to it and the rooms are spacious and clean if dated. The small of Cedar is perhaps not common these days, but I thought it was sort of...

The graceful Victorian era hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been lovingly and faithfully restored as of the fall of 2010. Turn back the clock to a more genteel time when exquisite attention to guest's needs, a polite, respectful and helpful staff, and an atmosphere of quiet elegance was the magnet that drew authors, poets, presidents and first ladies to the cool mountain breezes of the Green Park Inn. Come and experience our affordable elegance. When you want to spend time away, spend it somewhere that's timeless. The Chestnut Grille Restaurant is open nightly, or weekends seasonally.
