Massively dissapointed in the room. This was my two days of vacation with my husband and I had high hopes and expectations for this hotel. If I was alone and hanging out- I would be ok with the cute and extremely clean room…great bed. Kind owners-all that is awesome!!! I just thought it should be clear thst for $179 a nite you get a very very small room with AC blowing directly in your back on one side, no view, no bathtub an older bathroom-impeccably clean! Rather than show photos of gorgeous other rooms which seem like a fantasy… If you wanted a romantic getaway- maybe don’t choose this place. But for a utilitarian stay or a solo getaway- I DO highly recommend this hotel!

Thanks for sharing your experience, although we're disappointed the getaway didn't live up to your expectations. As our web site explains, and the photos illustrate, we offer a variety of rooms as traveler needs - and budgets - vary greatly. If ever you have an issue, please contact the innkeeper immediately as guest happiness is always a priority for us. We hope you'll return and when you do please feel free to contact the innkeeper directly for a personalized room recommendation. Matching guest needs with our offerings is one of the many ways we make people's Woodstock getaways so enjoyable.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed in deluxe room 15 from August 20-25 and let me just say, it was the best decision we've made during these COVID times for a little getaway. From the safety measures to the kind staff and fabulous room, all was just perfect. The entire inn's layout is great with no hallways to walk and all separate entrances to rooms from outside. Room 15 was just beautiful with a very comfortable bed with great linens and many fluffy pillows. The mini kitchen had exactly everything we needed and we were surprised at the size of the medium fridge versus a real mini. The bathroom was spectacular and both the shower and spa tub may or may not have caused us to overuse water during our stay. The creek swimming was so refreshing and we had a blast jumping off the top rocks into the deep end and enjoying social distancing conversation with other folks staying at the inn. Everyone was very respectful. Walking into Woodstock village was a full 4 mins (we timed it) and had some delicious meals in town as well as take out. Even enjoyed listening to great music at the Colony in their back field with stage and picnic tables with umbrellas distanced 20 feet apart from each other. We also went up to the Boiceville Ashokan Rail Trail one morning and biked the trail for miles. Wow! What a view the entire ride. Just majestic. Relaxing with a cold cocktail and a good book in the evening or sitting out under the stars in the many different seating areas around the property was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the owner, Karen - who runs this fantastic inn and is as friendly and conversational as you would expect. 5 stars all the way!

I am highly disappointed by this place. It is not B&B, it is a motel! If that is what it is price price should be adjusted accordingly..Please either advise as motel or improve the experience to B&B. Our room was so tiny we couldn't find place for our begs (we had 3 small bags), bathroom door was hitting TV screen when you open it. Coffee machine was in a closet... Bathroom experience was one of a kind....sink was positioned that was that when you sit down on the toilet it hits your chest! (My boyfriend is 6 feet)., you have to sit sideways 😒 Shower was tiny and showhead was awful. Water stream was hitting the wall and you couldn't readjust it. Basically you could wash the upper body but nothing waist down, forget about feet... really it was quite an experience. If you are hiking the whole day, please don't stay here, you will not be able to wash yourself... no exaggeration here. No common grounds to socialize, it was not cozy or welcoming at all.. literally just a motel experience. If that's the experience you go for, this place is overpriced for what it is. Stay in nearby town for better deals, this place is not worth about $180 night stay. No breakfast.

We're sorry to hear your visit wasn't fully enjoyable. It certainly seems you would have been more comfortable in one of our deluxe rooms, although all guests do have access to our stream side setting, gardens and bluestone patios. Although it wasn't for you, many hikers have enjoyed our lodging and speaking with our innkeeper who, as a member of the Catskill 3500 Club, has many recommendations for outings both easy or challenging. We do hope your future travels are more enjoyable.

DELUXE ROOM 14 REVIEW: This magical place just blew us away!!!!! Our 1st vacation/road trip since Feb 2020. First, the room is so definitely worth the upgrade hands down. Large room, kitchenette with a plug-in 2 burner. Great small patio and “Duff” the black resident greeted us every day. This is a retreat where we communed with nature. There are so many different places to wander, sit and enjoy the sounds of the stream - we were amazed in our 2-night stay. We are leaving tomorrow to continue up north, but don’t see how any other place could compare...........there is the town of Woodstock, Opus 40 which is 15 minutes away. BYE and sad to leave. Peace. ☮️

We’re also sorry to see you leave but are glad you enjoyed your Woodstock getaway. The stream’s magic really works its charm on guests. Hope you’ll be back as there are many additional wonderful local places to explore. And while our feline friend Duff, does sometimes roam the property, rest assured the cat never goes into rooms – registered guests only across the room thresholds! Hope you'll be able to visit again.

This is my second time here. The room was extremely clean. Pretty. For a small room, we have the smallest available, it is set up very well. (The only issue is the sink partially blocks the toilet but no biggie.) It is very walk-able to everything in town. Nice areas to sit near the stream. They did really well with covid precautions. Will be returning soon!
