We had some unforgettable days in Whitianga with Joan and Vern Lilienthal. The lovely house, the small but nice room, everything you wanted and needed was there. The breakfast of Joan was always a good start of the day together with the enthousiastic insructions of Vern how to discover Coromandel.... The town and the region are marvelous and for us from Europe to...

Pipi Dune is a very clean comfortable B&B. The owners, Vern and Joan, could not be more welcoming and helpful. I would recommend a stay here if you are in the area. Good restaurants are a short walk away. Joan's breakfast is tasty and generous.

Your hosts will look after you perfectly. Rooms are adequate size and tastefully decorated. Guest lounge/dining area is comfortable with TV and red leather sofas. Breakfasts are magnificent and include a cooked option as well as cereals, yoghurts, toast etc. Beach towels and beach umbrella are also available. Unless you are prepared to drive, it is a leisurely 30 min...

Why do people choose a B&B over a hotel? Because of the personal treatment and the opportunity to meet other people, both locals and fellow travellers. All of this we found in abundance in Pipi Dune B&B. Joan and Vern are warm, congenial hosts; always genuinly interested in other people's experiences. I will not forget our wide-ranging discussions over breakfast....

Clean, comfortable, and quaint stay @ Pipi Dune. Very short drive or easy stroll to restuarants and beach. The best part of this B&B are the hosts. Vern and Joan are top notch! After a 2 night stay it was like saying farewell to family members! Thanks Vern and Joan!

We stayed at Pipi Dune at Christmas Day. The welcome is very warm; coffee, tea and a information. We even got a spade and bucket for hot water beach! We immediately felt at home. The lounge is spacious, free Wifi is available. The room is a bit small, but very tidy and clean. We didn't think it was too small...

Everything about Pipi Dune is 5* except the room which is a crying shame. Joan and Vern are wonderful. so helpful and always willing to advise. The breakfasts that Joan serves are excellent and served in the guest lounge. This lounge is large and spacious and a lovely place to relax and when we came back from our day out...

A warrm welcome, even for we could refresh ourselves we got coffee. The B&B keeper could not stop giving us advices of what to do and was ready to book a trip before you had decided it. He was trying to fullfil your wished already before you had expressed them. The room is a little bit too tiny. The bathroom...

This is a small B&B in a nice and cosy looking villa in a very quiet area. The host is friendly and it is very clean all over the place. The rooms are small and there is a spacious common sitting area with kitchen. The breakfast is partly by choice (decision needed the day before) and rest is already on...

We were treated like family. We stayed here 3 nights and were exceedingly well looked after, the rooms were small but so clean and comfortable (a shelving unit in the wardrobe would mean you could unpack - we stayed 3 nights - but that wouldn't stop us staying again). There is a lovely guest lounge with fridge and microwave and...
