We came here a few years ago and decided to stay here again for our recent trip down south as we loved it so much. Just as lovely and beautiful as before! The location is gorgeous with lots of birds and kangaroos always around, the chalets are very private and quiet with no sounds to be heard except nature. The chalet was also very clean and comfortable, very cozy especially with the fireplace going during winter.

I love this place. It’s so easygoing, welcoming and you just feel right at home. The chalets are really comfortable, clean and very complete if you’re big on self-catering. The views from the chalets are gorgeous as and you’ll see a lot of different birds and roos around you going about their day in peace. Thank you again to Bob and Heather for your hospitality, I hope to come back again one day when I’m in Walpole.

Stayed here recently during a honeymoon trip for 4 nights. Highly recommend getting "the Railway" chalet if you want water views. Very quiet, clean, cozy and private. We enjoyed using the fire place on cold rainy days.

We had a lovely family holiday staying 4 nights at Riverside retreat. The chalet was nice and warm when we arrived from the reverse cycle air con but we also enjoyed lighting the fire each night which made the place nice and toasty. The chalet felt very private and isolated and we had beautiful views across the river. Even in poor weather it was lovely sitting by the fire looking out at the view and the roos and birdlife. Lots to do on the property including beautiful walks down to the river.
