In all my years, this must’ve been the worst place I’ve ever stayed. At arrival the lady was nice at reception.unfortunately her husband was not so nice. he tried talking money out of my account even though the room had been paid for. kept saying we had to pay again because the internet was down and he hadn’t got the money and it was my problem to fix.but the room had been paid for two weeks before and i showed him a receipt from booking.com and email from the accommodation. Still wasn’t good enough he was so rude and bit creepy coming back to the room all the time. After a few hours we had got it sorted.they also don’t give you a key so you can’t lock room .Great time to relax hopefully he stays away for the rest of the time it can’t get any worse haha. Room not cleaned the best but at least the sheets are clean. Then about to cook dinner on the stove and it falls on my two year old luckily there was nothing hot on top or he would have been burnt.couldn’t wait to leave

Such a beautiful spot! The perfect bit of paradise to escape, relax and immerse yourself in the encompassing nature. The chalets were clean, tidy and well appointed with everything you would need. Everything worked well and the beds were comfy. We stayed with our 2 dogs which was fantastic that Che Sara Sara allowed dogs. Dog kennels are also available which is fantastic. We walked the tracks, went down on the rocks at the river, didn’t go canoeing but could have if we wanted. The dogs and us loved it! It is very close to Walpole, beaches, Valley of the Giants and many more wonderful places to see and visit. The people running the place could not have been more friendly and helpful. Lovely people. We will definitely be back, maybe in winter next time. Already there in my head. To quote Darryl Kerrigan “ Pure Serenity “!

Well my wife and i were tipped off by her dad that this was a place we must try and he wasn't wrong. Just out of Walpole enough to be away from everything but close enough to run into town to get some shopping etc. Lisa & i love our peace and quiet and this was exactly that. Cabins are far enough apart where you wouldn't even know anyone else was there! So relaxing sitting on the back deck over looking the Franklin river within a stones throw. We had a great time and now we are back at work wishing we were back there!

The river and bush around the cabins here is amazing!! So many beautiful tingle trees filled with lovely birds. Prue and her daughter Erica were friendly and helpful. Such a great place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.

Absolutely loved the place, owners and managers excellent, clean tidy, fire was on when we arrived so it was cosy. Pet friendly, awesome bush walks, awesome spot to use as a base to visit the whole southern district area, close enough to town but far enough away to be very peaceful, no phone reception made it even better, great great great holiday will be back.

We arrived wet and cold after doing the tree top walk in the rain. We were taken to our chalet, and shown how to light the indoor fire. We were warm and comfortable in no time. The 4 chalets are quite separate, and the area outside is stunningly beautiful. The chalets are basically cabins. They are 25 years old, but have been done up. They have a washing machine, full fridge and oven as well as a microwave. The furnishings are basic, there are new blinds, and the bed was comfortable. We slept very well. We hired sheets and towels ($5 pp), but we had to make the bed ourselves. Pillows were very flat, but we changed them with the ones on the beds in the other room which weren't so bad. If you're travelling by car and are able, bring your own. Be aware, that even though the kitchen does have pots, plates, cutlery etc, you need to bring all your food etc. We had asked if they could provide a little oil so we could cook a steak, and they did leave some in the fridge, but we had purchased fish as well as steak, and I really wanted some salt on the fish, but there was none. So bring everything, or perhaps buy something that can be heated in the oven. Bring your own soap, shampoo, tissues etc as well. We stayed in July, and would not recommend eating out and then trying to find your way to the cabin in the dark at night. Kangaroos can be on the road as well, so enjoy the ambiance of the cabin and eat in. The cabins are perfect for a family. It's a good 20 minute drive to Walpole, but the seclusion of the cabins in the beautiful bush make it a wonderful experience.

My wife and I wanted to get away from the heat and have a relaxing week. I found Che Sara Sara on line and it seemed like a pretty good option. We made the booking and then a couple of weeks later needed to change it by one day. This was done immediately, no problem. The cabin was exactly as advertised and well set up. It was a little disappointing that the vegetation obscures the river from most of the cabins. Sitting outside with a glass of wine in the late afternoon talking to the birds was appealing. Taking a canoe for a run on the river each day helped to work up the required thirst. The cabins are widely spaced and allow adequate privacy. While this spot is well out of town, the roads are good and it is an excellent base to tour the surrounding area. No mobile coverage helps with getting away from it all, but a drive of about 3km will get you a good signal, if that's important. We very much enjoyed the week.

We've stayed here twice now and have officially made it an annual trip. This gorgeous hidden gem is just perfect for families wanting to escape the rat race and re connect. We have three children aged between 6 and 18mths and they love it just as much as we do. The chalets have everything you need to ensure a wonderful stay. From here we've been to Denmark for the day, Albany and just love hitting Peaceful Bay for a swim. Wonderful location, wonderful memories.
