what a shame, could be so much better. doors you cant lock, tv you cant watch, dodgy wifi, no mobile reception, really poor furniture, no shampoo, soap, conditioner, very limited milk supply....bed was good. wont stay again, would not recommend. Overpriced & underwhelmed. dont bother.
We had 2 nights booked at the chalets and had to cancel because WA went into lockdown for Covid 19. The Chalets immediately said that was ok and we would not be charged a cancellation fee. Wonderful. We have lost so much money since 2020 on travel that has had to be cancelled that this was a very welcome response. Thank you and we will visit as soon as possible.
Returning after a too-long absence to find that the peace and solitude was all I remembered. Each cabin is distant from the others, and the only noises are the rapids in the river flowing past, the many birds and the trees. Well appointed for self catering, lovely wood fire, parking under cover at from door, enough room for 2 couples or large family. Wonderful hosts (thanks Anna) have produce from the property for those who forgot something - avocados, eggs etc ... The river is perfect for a paddle in the provided canoes. Wifi is available at reception for the email etc tragics. Cant wait to get the opportunity to return.
Return visit to Che Sara Sara chalets and it was amazing as we remember. Peaceful property wrapped around the Frankland River with chalets spaced far enough apart that you feel like you have the place to yourself. Rolling green fields and wondrously tall trees in every direction, with nothing but the sound of the river gently flowing by and an occasional bird song or cow moo to break the peace ... A truly wonderful place to kick back and unwind and leave the stresses of daily life far behind. You can do as much or as little as you like. Walk the various trails, fish for cobbler on the river, grab a canoe or have a game of tennis on the court or just relax on the deck or in front of the log fire. The owners are super warm and friendly and even invited us along to pick fruit and nuts, meet and feed the animals, hang out and go stand up paddle boarding. The self contained cabins are thoughtfully appointed with what you will need for an easy comfortable holiday down south - comfy beds, TV and DVD player, fully stocked log fire, gas hot water, extra blankets and heater, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, stove and all your basic kitchen and cookware, washing machine, tea and coffee and long life milk. Amenities such as local Manjimup roasted coffee beans, fresh avocados and fruit from the orchard, scrumptious homemade jams and relishes and frozen pies from the local bakery are also available for purchase at the homestead. A great place for couples or to bring the kids and spend time as a family. Can't wait to return. …
Well my wife and i were tipped off by her dad that this was a place we must try and he wasn't wrong. Just out of Walpole enough to be away from everything but close enough to run into town to get some shopping etc. Lisa & i love our peace and quiet and this was exactly that. Cabins are far enough apart where you wouldn't even know anyone else was there! So relaxing sitting on the back deck over looking the Franklin river within a stones throw. We had a great time and now we are back at work wishing we were back there!
