I was really disappointed to see the price of a bag of ice increase from $5 to $8. It feels excessive, especially when I visited Walpole and purchased the exact same size bag for only $4. This kind of markup is hard to justify and leaves a bad impression.
Additionally, I noticed that the facilities could be improved by providing some basic essentials like sugar, salt, and pepper. These are simple items that can make a big difference in enhancing the overall experience for guests. Having these on hand would add a thoughtful touch to the amenities provided.
While the location has its positives, these small details can significantly impact the overall value and guest satisfaction. I hope these points can be taken into consideration for improvement in the future.
The view was absolutely sensational and one of the highlights of our stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. However, a few additional toiletries would have been a nice touch to enhance convenience for guests.
It would also be great if there were facilities available for washing boats, even something as simple as a station to flush out motors. This would be a fantastic addition for guests who bring their boats along.
Overall, while the experience was positive, these small improvements could make it even better.

Hi Mog M, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. We will reassess your comments regarding the price of the ice, unfortunately when the price increases for us we need to then change the price. With the water we collect from the bore is something that we need to be mindful of and probably would never be able to have a wash down bay for boats. We will pass this onto head office for their thoughts. As for the complimentary condiments they are supplied in every unit/cabin so not sure how we can improve something that already exists. We look forward to welcoming you back to the park in the future. Kind regards, Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park Team

We chose to stop here mainly because of the distances we had to travel, we had no idea what to expect but we were very happy with our choice. We have a lovely spot down on the edges of the inlet so the views are pretty good. We are G'day members so we received a discount on our booking which we didn't receive until we booked in because I couldn't see where to do this on the original booking. The service at the office in was a bit restrained so I can't really rate that highly but all is good with our site, prices good and position to town ok.

This is such a beautiful spot although the mosquitoes were over-friendly! Situated on the banks for the inlet with lovely bush walks to appreciate the environment fully. Facilities were as expected in a low-cost site and met our needs.
Unfortunately we got the impression that we were not really welcome anytime we interacted with the office person. On one occasion I went into the small shop to buy bread as a sign outside indicated they sold bread, only to be told that they only have bread when they go into town for it - but it is frozen and there is loads of freezer space! Appeared they couldn't be bothered with this amongst other things....
Comments on a FaceBook camping site had mentioned that it had gone downhill from what it was....

Weekend didn't start off well with the manager. He was aggressive regarding site spots which had been sorted with the office on arrival. Blamed Covid for the issue and then let Perth people still check in, no extra cleaning done and no checking masks were being worn. Then blamed our group for noise one night when 2 other groups were being louder. We did ask our neighbours and they didn't hear us just the other group, but we got a nasty warning. Then proceeded to drive around our site all weekend checking on us it seemed as kept watching us. Just a family with 2 young children enjoying a weekend away with friends. Won't bother going back as not being treated like that! When people are paying good money to stay, there is no excuse for rudeness.

We try and visit Rest Point Caravan Park as often as possible and it never disappoints! Now our children are adults we no longer use the camping site and treat ourselves to the chalets on the hill. These chalets have everything one could possibly need - well equipped kitchen, comfy bed (electric blanket most welcome in the cold weather!), heating/cooling, TV (with Netflix), beautiful views, a village of stunning wild life, access to washing machines and a dryer (for a small fee) and a well stocked store (food/books/DVD's/fishing tackle). Our chalet was clean and spacious - customer service during check in was friendly and information about the area readily available. Be sure to check out the local shops and restaurants - Philippine Magic has a great menu and is open lunch and dinner.

Visited friends at Rest point today and went to the office to enquire about a chalet and campsite for my extended family to stay in later in the year. My 6 year old daughter accompanied me and wanted to bounce on the bouncy pillow with her friend who was staying at the caravan park.
Before asking about the accomodation I asked if I could pay for my daughter to bounce on the bouncy pillow for 10 minutes (as visitors must pay to bounce as was written on the sign).
The lady in the office proceeded to give me a lecture on Covid check in which I did do and then spoke to me very rudely and refused to let my daughter bounce. Let me make it clear,
it was not that my daughter was not allowed to bounce on the pillow but the way the lady spoke to me in front of my daughter that is so disappointing and I would implore this lady to choose respect and kindness in her dealings with people in future.
I find it hard to believe that people think this is how to run a business. This rudeness has cost a booking for approximately 20 people this year and future bookings.
Ironically. I was warned by my friend staying at the park that the lady that booked her in was very grumpy.
My daughter too, has unfortunately learnt a lesson - don’t follow the rules on the sign just go ahead and do it!

Great caravan park right on inlet, located not far out of town. Limited shady trees, good amenities and activities to keep the kids entertained. Very friendly staff that are welcoming, has little shop, small gazebo jetty for fishing for bream or crabbing, kayak hire available and set in a beautiful location. Great price and would stay again!

While travelling southern WA I stayed here with my family. We stayed in an old room for 3 and it was like staying in a cave. There was a window at the front and a skylight where the door was and the cabin went back in an "L" shape without any other windows or ventilation. No air conditioning but there was 1 ceiling fan. It was really old and was expensive for what we got compared to the other places we stayed at during our 2-week stay during our WA holiday. The staff were really nice and the park seemed ok but I would definitely not recommend to stay in that room.

Dear NeilH16, I'm sorry that the accommodation didn't meet with your expectations - that particular unit is part of a building that was originally built in the 30's as part of the original guesthouse, and has since been changed into units/apartments of varying sizes and layouts some years ago and some of the layouts are quite quirky and not always what people like or expect . It is due to be replaced in time along with other upgrades as part of a long range vision for the park. I do hope that you other wise found it to be clean and beds comfortable? We may have had another choice as an upgrade upon check -in if you had wished. I hope the rest of your trip was enjoyable, Kind regards, Rest Point

Awesome caravan park, brilliant location. Kids loved the bouncy pillow and children playing every where. The view is amazing and launching our small boat was easy at their boat ramp.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure
