Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the best park ever - sites among the trees - spotless toilets - didn’t use the camp kitchen as we had caravan. Lovely reception staff. About 3 kms from Walpole.
The only thing of course is that you cannot take your dog because it is in the national park.

This is a lovely, quiet caravan park set in a bush setting. There’s nothing fancy about it but that’s the attraction! If you’re looking for caravans crammed together and bouncy pillows in the playground you’re not going to find it here. But you will find clean and tidy facilities. Our kids and their friends loved playing table tennis in the games room when the weather was drizzly. I figure that the amount of overnight stays we saw from people trekking the Bibbulmun Track or riding the Munda Biddi was a good sign.
As an added bonus we had a blue wren and his lady friends living near our campsite and quietly flitting around, what a treat!

We have never been Glamping before, so we were unsure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised!! The “tent” was very comfortable, warm and cozy. The queen bed was clean and comfortable with an extra blanket on hand should we need it. The kitchenette was very small, however there was a microwave, kettle, toaster abs coffee machine, as well as plates, bowls, cups and glasses with a variety of cutlery for basic foods. The the camp kitchen & bbq were close by with everything needed and spotlessly clean. The ensuite was quite roomy with shower, toilet and a vanity sink, all quite modern and spotless. There was a ceiling fan, two armchairs and an oil heater which was very efficient. If you were to come in summer, there is no air con.
A small outdoor table and four chairs were on the front deck which was lovely to sit outside and dine el fresco. The park itself is clean and tidy, very peaceful and quiet, lots of wildlife including local kangaroos and birds. Plenty of walking and cycling tracks. Would definitely recommend this park and glamping.

The park is amazing, so peaceful. Each site is among peppermint trees ... we really felt so relaxed ... and felt private as well. The amenities are also very clean. We cycled and kayaked straight from the park, so a great location for both of those activities as well.

This is the best caravan park I have stayed at. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. The #4 cabin was super clean and had the modern conveniences. There were nice little touches like having complimentary biscuits (I didn't eat any, but unusual to see), double roller blinds on the windows, and rubber cupboard mats. Having the beautiful Coalmine Beach right beside the park is such a bonus. So I stayed a third night. I was passing through as a mountain biker on the Munda Biddi trail in inclement winter weather, and this was a great place to dry out. There were some Bibbulmun trail walkers doing the same thing in an adjoining hut. Walpole is only a short trail ride away, so easy to get supplies and whatever.

Our 5 night stay at Coalmine Beach Caravan Park was delightful. The tents are newly fitted out with new furniture and beds and were really comfortable and well appointed. We were in a large group across 3 tents and found the communal kitchen worked really well and was spotlessly clean when we arrived (on 27 Dec). The park itself is in a fantastic location only metres from the Walpole inlet and nestled amongst the bush with kangaroos and birds passing through. The camp was full but was quiet and made for a really enjoyable stay over New Year. Wifi was also great.

We are traveling on a trike towing a teardrop caravan and are sometimes relegated to small rarely used sites in parks, but the staff at The Coalmine Beach Park were very accommodating and made sure the site was as we requested, even changing the site location once they saw our set-up to a powered site with tv plug-in point next to the BBQ. The bathroom facilities, and camp kitchen were clean and functional. Of course a lot of trees and shade as it is situated in a national Park.

This is a well layer out campground among the trees with modern amenities. It’s a beautiful location however the site we were allocated did not fit our van in spite of providing all the measurements at the time of booking. On damaging my vehicle on a tree we gave up and sought an alternative site. We were advised only one other smaller was available and if that didn’t work we were out of luck. Clearly in today’s market customer service is not as important however the market will change. This experience makes us think twice about using this brand of alternatives are available

Thanks for your review Peter, so sorry your experience was not what you expected, we are and have been really very busy and whilst we try our best to make sure we can accomadate everyone we do have limitations. The carvans and vehicles towing them are getting bigger and as we are located in a National park we are not able to remove trees. Not sure what the problem was with getting onto site 66, we have had larger caravans than yours fit on with no problem and site 12 that you are currently on is the same size, When you booked you were asked the size of your caravan and a suitable sized site was allocated by our reception staff. Customer experience and service is very high on our priorities as our reviews show. Regards phil Manager

Absolutely love Coalmine Beach Caravan Park. Love staying in this natural park so much better than being in rows butted up to the van next to you. Love hearing kids having good old fashioned fun. Ablutions are kept really clean and they are always working around making sure everything is right. Staff are really lovely and very approachable. Close to the inlet but very protected from the wind. We loved the walk from the park across the wetland to town. Stayed here twice now and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We keep coming back... We always stay in the unpowered camp sites they face the bush, are shaded by beautiful peppermint trees, away from the wind and only a 2 minute walk to the water. Kids love the freedom, riding bikes around the loop, adventures up and down the beach, paddle boarding in the shallow water, fishing off the jetty and even the movies on the blow up screen. If you have a dinghy (or hire one) then magic goes up to another level as the Nornalup inlet is yours to explore. Thank you Coalmine for providing a lifetime of family memories.
