Great overnight stay in a queen room with ensuite. Fire pit in evening and bbq facilities were excellent. A great stay. The room was small and clean but quite old… no complaints about ensuite facilities water was hot for the shower. The friendly owners made the stay very pleasurable.

We had originally booked three nights at the pub but after the first night there we had to find an alternative. Mickey came to our rescue! She was incredibly welcoming and friendly, the facilities were good and the room and ensuite were clean and comfortable. Our two nights at Outback Accommodation were excellent!

We spent a night here with our 3 teenage kids in December. Wish we could have stayed longer. Denise was great. She had the aircon on in the rooms, the bbq was ready and the kids were so happy to jump in the pool after a long drive in 38 degree heat! En suite rooms were clean and comfy, camper's kitchen with chilled drinks and breakfast. Lot's of great advice about places to see and a lovely bowl of chilled fresh fruit! Thanks Denise. What a find!

Stopped on our way from Cue to Coolgardie. Lovely, welcoming hosts with comfortable cabins. Great showers, well equipped kitchen and fire to relax by in the evening. Need to bring your own food as local hotel has sadly closed. Swimming pool was under renovation but will be a nice addition when completed!

Sandstone is a tiny little town... There are two places to stay but Outback Accommodation is great. Its a little collection of dongas - with ensuites - in the Outback. Mickey the owner was wonderful to me helping me heaps as I struggled to get my broken car back to Kalgoorlie. The dongas are set in lovely courtyards, like an oasis is was. The pool area is SO well done complete with TV. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were to die for. Well I reckon anyway. Having slept many nights on cheap pillows I thought they were wonderful. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Sure it is a small room but this is a tiny town in the Outback and I don't reckon you want the Sofitel or Park Regis out here. Fridge in the room kept my food and drinks cold. There was a kitchen with continental brekky ingredients and toaster/jug/tea/coffee etc. I also met Lady Di of Lady Di's Pies - a wonderful character who has a street stall just down the road. Yummy they were too. She is equipping a little shop so will expand her range. Sandstone Shire has made a wonderful Water Spray area which on a hot day would be very welcome. The little corrugated iron Church at Sandstone has THE most beautiful stained glass windows. Little church sitting in the desert yet they have managed to commission new windows.... There's a paddock full of roos at Outback Accommodation and chooks and a rooster to wake you. I love that. Give this place a go. The mine has closed and much of the population has drifted off. Help keep places like this alive. I will post pics when I upload them to my comp.

Lovely host but the accommodation is lacking - dirty and old. Facilities and room are below average. Old cobwebs throughout, dirty walls/surfaces, aircon (for heating) that's way too noisy to use and little critters in the wall cavity to keep you awake all hours of the (very early) morning.

Very friendly people! This is a comfortable place to stay, not many bells and Wistles.... Let's face it, what else do you need, had a hot shower, warm comfortable bed, TV. Breakfast facilities. Go to the pub for tea, once again it was replicated. The place is quiet so slept well.

Clean , neat donga style accommodation in a setting with trees, garden and green lawn.
Denise and Harry were very welcoming and they have set up a well equiped communal kitchen, provide continual breakfast supplies and also have a small convenient store on site .
The fire pit is lit each night and creates a pleasant spot to enjoy a glass or two.

Small Dongas accomodation surrounded by beautiful trees, bushes and grasses with a top off of wonderful artifacts truly make this place special. The pool was cool biut I could not resist and it was very clean and pleasant. It was very nice to be back in a hot shower. Especially with water pressure. Three nice gathering areas for watching a game, having a bbq or in the center talking with old or new friends. A most positive outback experience. Mickey, thank you! Three days and I knew most of the town. Sandstone and Outback accomodation are worth the stop. Absolutely.
