Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked at Nannup caravan park 27th December 2023 for 4 nights but on 29th a very large tree branch fell on my annex completely destroying it and narrowly missing me in the process. My daughter in law reported this to the office who sent a man to have a look. He never asked if anyone was injured or offered to assist in the clean up or pack up of my site. When I returned the toilet key as I was leaving that same day I told Julie the tree needed to be looked at. Her response was ‘it’s not our problem it’s the shires’ and never asked if I was ok nor offered any apologies for the damage. I sent them a letter of demand for compensation of my damages and both the shire and I asked them to lodge an insurance claim on their public liability insurance. They have ignored both the shire and my requests and now I am left without an annex and severely out of pocket. I am disgusted in their attitude and would never recommend staying there to anyone. Such a shame as Nannup is such a lovely place. Worse still, they booked another van into the same spot within an hour of me vacating and have not, to my knowledge, had the tree checked to ensure it is safe to park underneath. I rate them a nil for customer service

Had a 3 night stay with a club and found the park dusty and dry. Even the lawn was brown. The camp kitchen was well stocked and clean. Amenities were clean and tidy. No lights in the streets at night so a bit difficult walking home at night. Sensor lights on the toilets and fairy lights around too

Our family love the Blackwood River canoe activity. That’s one of the biggest draw of Nannup. We booked a caravan house named “Not-So-Tiny” House. Think about the way you hear "with due respect", and you know how much respect you have been shown. The same applies here. Think "how tiny" it could have been. We didn't figure out the actual size by the pretty pictures posted at Airbnb (in which the owner can also choose what review to be posted). I am fine to change the plan. We ended up taking a good shower (and reminded myself repeatedly not to bump my head twice or thrice in a tiny toilet) after canoe, and left one day earlier than we have booked the stay. I wanted to say a "not-so-tiny" thank to the owner for the attractive pictures on Airbnb. Cheers.

Well maintained park from what I saw. Camp kitchen had everything you needed except for saucepans. Only one was available and not for for use as deteriorating. Cleanest ablution block I have ever used! And the cleaner was a lovely helpful lady too. We were in a glamping tent which was nicely put together. But I’m afraid the mattress on the bed was terrible. So hard. Both myself and my daughter could feel the springs through it. The owner was helpful and gave us an extra doona but it didn’t help much. My biggest annoyance was that when I mentioned the bed she said “oh we have never heard that before”. Not something you should say to a customer! She was lovely and helpful otherwise and even turned the heat on for us before we arrived. Communication when booking was excellent. Overall I would still recommend it especially when it is quiet in winter but it is still a little overpriced for the off season. I would suggest one of those pay for 3 nights and stay 4 kind of things.

Love this park! Stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin while our van was getting repaired, very comfy and quiet. Then later on site #19 after repairs completed. The owners Wayne and Julie were incredibly understanding and helpful to accomodate us while our van was getting fixed. Couldn’t not have asked for nicer people. They bent over backwards to help in anyway possible. Excellent service from kind hearted people! Ammenities were always spotless. Reception staff always greeted us with a big smile, a lovely young lady, Ariel, making sure we had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. As far as the park goes, it’s in the forest, of course there are dirt roads. I love how this park blends in with its natural surroundings, we came here to get away from the concrete jungle and we were not disappointed. Beautifully placed along the Blackwood River in the middle of the forest. Can’t wait to come back again, our new favourite destination! Thanks to all for making Nannup feel like home ❤️.

We stayed at the Nannup carvan park for 11 nights and enjoyed out stay. Unfortunately there was no dump point at the park had to go into town to another point - inconvenient. Also very little grassed area so lots of sand and mud. Apart from this we had a good time. Lovely little town. John & Gail Laney

Quaint little town for a stop over but the caravan park leaves a bit to be desired. Small dirt/ sand sites and very little grass in the park. The amenities are dated but kept clean however the septic smell at times is overwhelming, no dump point on site but a public dump point is located at the other side of town. Overpriced given the state of the park ($61 PN 2A+1C)

Loved the park, but lacked shade from trees, it seems to be that the tents get the prime shaded bays. We do not have a dog but was surrounded by dogs, walk into toilet with dog barking. Our last night at the park on walking back from shower a large dog lunged at me as I walked pass. By the time we had our last nights we were surrounded by dogs and made me feel very uncomfortable. I do feel the park is overpriced, 19-23rd Dec paid $49 per night and 24-27th Dec $59 per night for powered caravan site. With the prices charged we would not stay again and would go elsewhere at a much cheaper price.

Had a good weekend in Nannup for the Carols night in early December. Park was ok, the owner was very rude and unable to communicate when challenged about speeding in the park, his wife was very understanding and apologetic for his behaviour. Full marks to her for putting up with him! It is disappointing that people like this can be what you remember about a beautiful little town.

What a horrible experience, when I arrived, I sore the owner of the place telling a worker to take reduce pay and hours or he would fire everyone and start over again. Not good, what followed over the next few days was worse. I heard commotion of one of the workers got attacked by a dog, while staying there the owner would belittle he's workers to other guest, including to me, that is just so disgusting. I feel so sorry for all the workers there. # Love the workers The workers were the best, one of them even helped me with my travel itinerary, showing me shortcuts to Bunbury, what showers had the best water pressure and the trails around the place. I won't give more than one star, as the owner has just ruined me and my friends experience. I'm there to relax, not hear about your petty little problems.

Response from Julie May, Owner at Nannup Caravan Park
Responded 4 Dec 2022
We believe this review was posted by a former disgruntled Employee. Firstly we would never tell a worker to accept a reduced rate of pay. A casual worker may be given reduced hours if their work is unsatisfactory. We do expect our workers to perform their duties. Secondly we would never discuss this with a guest. An incident with a workers dog and another dog occured, the worker was not attacked.
