Stopped in for dinner on the recommendation of our accommodation provider.
Typical nice country pub. Ordered the days special lamb shank and a chicken parmigiana
The parmi was ok but the lamb shank was tough as nails and tasteless. It should fall off the bone. This didn’t and probably should have been left to the dog which is no doubt where 3/4 of mine that was left went
The drinks were fine and washed away much of the taste of the food

Stopped over here after a 9.5hour drive from Tom Price. Room was ok, what is to be expected for a small outback town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was great, my pick was the rib eye on special for $36, beer was cold. Nice atmosphere in the pub. Definitely recommend staying here.

After a long drive was looking forward to a good pub feed. Ordered a steak and was told they had none, nor any chicken parmigan, nor any schnitzel.
What sort of pub have a walked into? Am I in the twilight zone?
Was told they had plenty of fish (more expensive) so fish it was.
It was good too, staff were great, but NO STEAK!!!

Travelling as a gluten intolerant person, often the safest thing for me to eat at the local pub is steak and salad. It's a first world problem but I get a bit sick of it. Here, the steak was great. I'd go back. Also impressive was that, the pub was packed but the management found seats for all comers and offered to reseat customers as more comfortable tables became available.

I’m not sure were to start except to stay don’t stop here keep on going… Let’s start with checkin after standing waiting for about 10mins we got served after another 10 mins they couldn’t find the room keys and finally after about 25mins they gave us a family room as they couldn’t find the keys to the room. When we got to the rooms the room keys they were looking for were in the room with another person. The room was a disgrace. Holes in walls, handles falling of doors, and a door wedge holding the sink into the cabinet. The queen bed was very well worn and your rolled into the centre - needs replacing, PowerPoints need attention. We paid $145 for the night which is completely unreasonable the place is a dump and in desperate need of repairs. Now let’s discuss dinner. We ordered and after an hour we watched 4 people ask for refunds and we were told the kitchen has run out of gas and they couldn’t make chips (I thought deep fryers were electric) anyway, they offered the remaining 7 customers mash instead which was fine. Another person then left. One meal came out with very lumpy mash and then the other meal showed up with chips!!! Stone motherless cold chips!!! The chicken was cooked well but everything else was a joke. NEVER AGAIN

The Hotel itself is in disrepair, dark and dingy.
The rooms are a disgrace. Also in disrepair. Filthy. Stained sheets. Shower still had used toiletries in it etc, etc. we actually considered sleeping in the car at one stage as it was too late to keep going. Slept in our clothes instead.
How this place is still operating beggars belief.

We stayed at a different hotel at Mount Magnet and were told that Commercial Club Hotel serves dinner.

We ordered takeaway. The food was nice and was prepared in a reasonable time. But there is very limited option in the menu - believe it or not, it’s no where near the ocean but half the mains were either fish or seafood! We ordered chicken instead. It was nicely cooked.

The accommodation is very worn but as clean as you can expect in a dusty environment. We had a comfortable night and tasty good sized classic pub dinners.

The quirky booking arrangements puzzled us but hey we were on holidays so not a big deal. We weren’t given any instructions when we booked accommodation. We arrived at 3.45 hoping to book in but the place was locked up. I think it only does booking in when it opens the bar at 5pm. We went around the back and found someone to give us a key. Next morning there was no breakfast served and no one to take our key either. The very small diner next door does breakfast so all was good.

I have stayed here a couple of times and dread it everytime I thought there was no where else to stay.I take my own sheet and sleep on top of the bed.The ensuite is so dated and dirty but it has a shower so you just have to try and ignore it.The last time I booked a room a week in advance and 4 hours before I arrived I was phoned and told the people in my room wanted to stay longer[road work crew]so I"ll have to find somewhere else. The food isn"t to bad but then its hard to mess up deep fryed food.Luckily I found a room at the caravan park which turned out to be excellent clean and friendly staff.PS check your aircon filter as well.

Hello Reuben, There is street parking in front of the hotel if you were dropping in for a meal or a drink and while I can't recall the layout , I'm sure there would be parking if you decided to stay in the motel units there.
