Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great hosts in this old style motel. The rooms are spotless and include a microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee, tea, two glasses and two coffee mugs. However, you will need to bring your own cutlery and crockery.

Breakfast can be ordered and will be delivered through a hatch adjacent to the front door

Although an old style motel, it is clean and well maintained. Our bathroom had new wall tiles and a new handbasin (unfortunately, the plug seal wasn't good enough to hold water long enough for a shave).

We had a room in the Southern wing ovelooking a well manicured garden. It had a small fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and a small flat screen TV. In the garden there was a clean gas bbq.

The service station next door has a restaurant open from 07:00 until 20:00 daily and breakfast can be ordered from reception. This will be delivered to your room

Dated but very clean room. Owner helpful on arrival. Chairs in the room worn out, very uncomfortable,, need replacement , cost reasonable, walking distance to the town. Nice outdoor outdoor garden area and well maintained grounds.

Stayed at Valley Views for two nights. Rooms are typical (older) motel style: compact but have all the necessities. Easy check in, provided with long life milk and a bottle of water. My room was behind the office and though I could hear the highway traffic it wasn’t an issue. Very comfortable bed. The motel is located a brisk 10 minute walk to centre of Mt Barker and is an ideal base for touring the surrounding districts.

Motel is easy to find on the main road,a little out of the main shopping and eating area. Convenient parking. Rooms are a little dated but serviceable. Toaster, microwave, jug and fridge provided. Shower was not separate to the bathroom floor and had a shower curtain so it is hard to stop water going everywhere. Our room was quiet off the street and had a working electric blanket. Extra blankets and pillows are available in the room. Internet generally didn’t work inside the room even though the wifi connected. Could connect but not access to the internet. Ok but a bit pricy for what you get considering the location and age of the rooms. Covid is reduced food services and room cleaning frequency.

I am absolutely amazed by the care and service provided by Sumon. Unfortunately I had to cancel a prepaid booking that was made via booking.com due to covid lockdown. I had expected a tough process to get my money back. To my surprise Sumon has been very friendly and understanding of the situation and he requested a small processing fee in which I felt was fair to the establishment given these times. Even though I could not stay at this venue, this experience has left a really good impression. I’m certain that I will remember this establishment as I do visit mount Barker often. Totally made my day.

We we given a friendly greeting and welcome at reception and directed to our motel unit.

The centre has old style motel units and self contained chalets. Our unit had a double bed, bar fridge, microwave oven, toaster and a flat screen TV. It was clean, well maintained and was supplied with basic toiletries.

The complex has a covered BBQ area and a laundry and is approximately 1.5 Kilometres from the town.

Although the centre doesn't have a restaurant, breakfast can be ordered and delivered to your room.

The people that run the place are very welcoming. The breakfast in room was delicious. The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, linen was clean and well presented, complimentary milk and bottled water on arrival. Room checked and towels changed every day. Location central to town and other places

Lovely friendly reception gentleman. WiFi worked well. Plenty of TV channels. Well maintained gardens with camillias flowering, and BBQ area. The rooms are older but presented well. Air con and electric blanket. You have to visit the bakery.

A lovely motel in a short walking distance to town. Staff very friendly. Funny name because there is no view. The view we had was to the garden. Room was clean however it was quite dark and a little old fashioned. We felt price matched what we got. A visit to the bakery is a must
