I stayed there for one nite, and I wish I can stay longer, Robyn and Vince are great host, they know the place inside out. They provided me with all the place of interests around.

I picked the YURT, and its really make my trip worth while. There are kitchen just out side the yurt.
All kitchen ware, you name it , they got them. All you need is go buy food from supermarket, and you will be able to cook yourself a meal. Under the watchful eyes of joeys.

Place is clean and comfort, Robyn even offer us freah picked fruit from their garden, does taste the differnce compare to the one you normally got from supermarket (which is far less tasty). If you ever come across this area, this is the place you must stay.

Thank you for your review. We are very happy you had a wonderful time and did`t mind if the joeys would like to eat your food. The joeys are very fussy so your dinner must have smelt yummy.

Booked in to stay here at relatively short notice for a family funeral. Robyn and Vince could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Beautiful country grounds, with some chooks, sheep next door, 3 orphaned joeys that Robyn looks after and the cutest dog in the world. We were upgraded to the chalet as other members of our family had booked in to stay here too. Delicious home cooked breakfast in the morning, with a range of Robyns own preserves and fruit. Could not have been more pleased staying here, we're looking forward to returning with the kids in the future. Thanks so uch Robyn and Vince :)

This is my second visit to this wonderful guest house. Nothing is too much trouble for Robyn the hostess. I chose to stay in a Yurt which was cosy and warm on the cold nights and cool after the hot days. We had a variety is weather while I was there. I enjoyed seeing the two joeys which Robyn is raising after their mothers were, sadly, hit and killed by cars. Robyn's cooked breakfasts using her own chook eggs is excellent and then it is topped off with homemade jams and plunger coffee. There is a gorgeous friendly Chow Chow dog (did you know that it is said they have some bear genes). "Sibon" (means lion face) shows no bear like tendency at all and loves kids. There was a family of 12 wild ducks to watch pottering around a sheep to pat. There are 3 Yurts on site and two take accommodation. There is also a wonderful chalet and in addition to that also a room for just the bed and breakfast experience. Robyn's generosity and warmth make a short or long stay at Nomads an experience to be cherished. I left reluctantly but very rested after escaping my crazy working life in Melbourne VIC.

the hand written sign at the end of the road is indicative of the premises.
Sharing a bathroom with strangers is totally unacceptable for somewhere charging above average prices.
you have to question who thinks this is worthy of such rave reviews when in 2013 en suite is a standard requirement for all travellers.

After reading this comment regarding sharing a bathroom it didn`t make sense. So I have to wonder if this person has actually ever stayed at Nomads Guest House. Also, the name isn`t on my list of booking as I have all guests recorded from my very first. While It clearly states on my website that the Bed & Breakfast rooms are a share bathroom, we only ever let one room. The only time both rooms are let out is when they are family or friends. So, to all those guests who have written those lovely reviews, thank you very much, we`ve enjoyed having you stay with us and for all those people who would like to stay here in the future, you don`t have to worry about having to share a bathroom with strangers.

We got to stay in the yurt and it was a wonderful experience. Very comfortable. Having said that we stayed during Spring. Also we were the only others in the yurt. As the site has at least two other yurts. Great hospitality and the scenery was amazing! Enjoyed the farm animals and kangaroos. Highly recommended and would stay again

Robyn and Vince are great hosts and people. In the 26th December, when no one else would take us in (2 adults, 3 kids and our dog Tiny), Robyn and Vince did. After a booking went wrong we were stranded at Mount Barker, only to experience the kidness of these two people. Their place is awesome. We had the chalet and the kids got one of their original Mongolian Yute. Animals galore, beautiful trees, a Summer kitchen and so much more...
Robyn and Vince helped out and gave us tips whenever we asked. We hope to come back soon. Thanks for our great stay!!!

A great place to stay, beautiful grounds, great accommodation (the Yurt is a unique experience) and it is run by two of the nicest people I have ever met- Robyn and Vince. They are super helpful and will give you directions, ideas for things to do/places to eat and if you are lucky, they might let you bottle feed one of their foster kangaroos.

This may not be your usual B&B or so, but in fact offers different accommodation to suit everyone - pick a standard room, a full self-contained chalet or a yurt for something ot that common.
We picked the chalet to have our own bath and kitchen and found a very nice and well appointed place with everything you need. Town center with the supermarket is in walking distance.
Robyn and Vince are really great and make you feel welcome from the first minute. And if you're lucky, you'll get to see some joeys (baby kangaroos for non-aussies) as they often help raising orphans. Ever had a curious kangaroo hopping aroung your breakfast table?

I was in Mount Barker this year a bit earlier than the previous two years in order to see the whales via a whale watching tour off the Albany coast. I had missed the whale season in my last two trips but saw the beautiful spread of wildflowers nearby. What a beautiful place in winter. There is a lot to see on the property. The hens and guinea fowl forage nearby in a penned area, and the two sheep watch you with interest as you stroll over to their fence. You can sit by the established pond and view the interesting sculptures which were created by locals and then watch Robyn's rescued joeys grazing during the day. Don't forget to have a look inside Vince's very interesting gallery before asking for your special viewing inside a Mongolian Yurt if you are not already sleeping in one. The days while short in June were long enough to enjoy. There is so much to explore nearby. Even though this is my third year visiting this gorgeous town and guesthouse, Vince and Robyn my hosts were extremely helpful in suggesting places I had not been to before. I visited Walpole and took the Eco Cruise with Gary Muir an extremely knowledgeable man and also visited Pemberton and Manjimup on a lovely day trip. Robyn and Vince as most hospitable hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they have maps of the local area so they can show you how to get to the different sights. I am hoping to return again a bit later next year because I was too early this year to see the southern right whales although some humpback were making their way north. I hope you have a wonderful stay.

Great place. We stayed in a yurt. Our family had a fabulous time and got to help feed the orphaned joey, Angel. The yurts are colourful and comfortable, the property tranquil and beautiful. Great location to explore the nearby towns of Denmark and Albany too. We were given freshly baked bread for breakfast and home-grown tomatoes, and fresh chook eggs. Robyn and Vince are fabulous hosts. We'll be back :).
