Friends and I decided to try out our new camping gear, and have a play on the All Ages Play Ground. The Caravan Park was easy to book, easy to find, and easy to check in. Good unpowered space. Campers kitchen was excellent. Ablution block was nice and clean. Showers had good pressure, and hot water. Would highly recommend this spot.
3 contact numbers for Katanning Caravan Park. First 2 did not answer, and stated on a recording "i don't monitor messages, just keep trying to call" 3rd number - call was answered promptly by the Liberty Service Station. Efficient booking in. no copious signs plastered with rules. Amazing kitchen with every utensil, TV, pay phone, books, movies, barbecues, fire pit, stoves/oven, microwave, washing up facilities, crockery etc. Modern clean shower toilet block. Fast food and basic essentials in the service station. 10/10 for this caravan park and the couple who manage it. a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would thoroughly recommend.
We stayed with our caravan club in January, it is relatively close to the road, being behind the servo, but we didn't hear much by way of noise. The park is a bit tight for parking but ok, wouldn;t want to have a much bigger van to park though. Ours is a 19ft. The ablutions were spotless and the camp kitchen is a good one. The guy doing the cleaning is a gem, very friendly and doing a great job - assume he's the owner. Would stay again.
We were a little concerned after reading some reviews but you can see immediately that work is being done to improve this park. The park is at the far end of one of the main streets which made it easy to find and accessible. The bathrooms are among some of the better I have seen in my travels; although the tiles are dated, they are clean, without cracks and no sign of dirt or mold. The caravan spaces are large and clearly marked and the camp kitchen is excellent. We were a family of 3 adults and 3 children in swags; the lawn, although parched was adequate for our needs and under the shade of a large pine tree. There was heaps of space and very low tariffs. Keep up the great work!
Owners Jane and Gary have turned this into a great little caravan park, hidden away behind the Liberty roadhouse. They're creating lovely gardens, the amenities are spotless, and I've never seen such a well equipped and charming camp kitchen - everything you need is supplied, including pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, and even wine glasses! And if you can't be bothered cooking, there's a cafe in the roadhouse. A very pleasant place to stay.
