Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a Hibiscus room and was on the ground floor (Room 64). Good size room with one queen bed and a proper single bed. The room/bathroom was a good size and the water pressure in the shower was the best I have ever had in all my years of travel. They had a microwave/kettle as well. Two pools and a jacuzzi, near amenities, quiet - good choice for families as well as couples or solo travel. We felt safe. Best of all, you open up your room door in the morning and you see kangaroos. We stayed 3 nights - only minus perhaps is no daily housekeeping but it was okay - we could easily get supplies from the reception.

Room needs a total makeover. Poor quality furnishings and smallest TV ever. No netflix or wifi in room. Your room is only serviced if you stay more than three nights. Bed was comfortable and plenty of parking.

This is a great place to stay as the rooms are very neat and clean with a nice comfy bed and plenty of room for all your luggage. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water, and as an added bonus we had a lovely kitchenet that had a large fridge. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. There was a large laundry with all new machines. Good location for walking into town or going to the beach. Good value for money well worth staying here.

We arrived here after travelling down from exmouth staying for 2 nights. We stayed at many places up and down the west coast on this trip and Palm Resort in Kalbarri was by far the worst. The room was extremely outdated and filthy! My partner ran her finger along the top of the headboard and was thick with dust. Our baby dropped a dummy behind the bed, when we looked under to find it there was rubbish still under there from previous guests. The handle of the fridge was sticky and dirty, the towels were stained and smelly. The kitchen top was filthy, the list is endless. I’ve added a photograph of the shower, the shower head support was collapsed so in order to take a shower you had to physically hold it when standing underneath it. Not to mention the state of the tiles! How this place gets anything beyond a 1 star review is beyond me.

We stayed in the one bedroom unit, which comprises of a queen bed in its own bedroom & two bunks in the lounge. The unit is very spacious and has everything you need. The park appears well maintained with great amenities. It is walking distance to the Main Street & beaches.

We booked the Kalbarri Palm Resort, mainly because it was actually quite cheap for WA. And upon arrival I understood why. It is probably one of the eldest resorts in Kalbarri and in need of renovations. It is really a shame that the resort is not well maintained as the communal area and swimming pools are quite nice. But the outside area near the rooms is not nice. Outside furniture is old. The rooms are functional and value for money. We stayed 3 nights and it was OK. Even with the points mentioned, I would still come back, as the price was right.

Situated close to the beach, shops, tavern and hotel. About 70 rooms all attractive and well appointed. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. A big advantage was having a takeaway restaurant on the premises which provided high quality food.

By far the best value during our meander up the coast to Monkey Mia, Well located old style but well maintained & a spacious room at an excellent rate. Reception was most helpful as we rocked up early with a plan for the skywalk pm, she shuffled around the rooms & we were in, most appreciated. Convenient for a visit to Finlays which is de rigueur during your visit. Planned to stop over going South but rate had tripled due to some stupid weekend, in fact all places the same down to Perth so we missed out on a repeat Finlay visit !

There was a mix-up with my booking by Agoda and I stayed in a Palm Room ('eco room') for 2N before the resort kindly upgraded me to a Hibiscus Room for my last night. The upgrade is very much worthwhile, and so it's even more worthwhile to book directly to guarantee your preference. Lesson learnt! The Palm Rooms are OK for a night or so as you're passing through and bring back a lot of nostalgia of old (complete with the hole-in-the-walls for room service back in the day!). But... they are very, very tired, and quite dark (but fair enough, they're priced accordingly). The Hibiscus Rooms bring you forward a couple of decades and although they are still tired, they are much less so than the Palm Rooms, and are nice and roomy with private balconies. They have a much nicer holiday 'feel' about them! The facilities are great - this is a kids' paradise during school holidays with play equipment, two pools, a spa, and a kangaroo feeding station. The onsite restaurant, Buddha's Bites, which is takeaway only at the moment, is also excellent. The bbqs were cleaned daily and all eating areas were immaculate.

We had a Hibiscus studio room for three nights. The room had a small fridge and microwave as well as some basic kitchen equipment.outside the room was there was a table and chair on the patio where we were greeted by the kangaroos each morning. In the room was a small dining table and lounge as well as the comfortable bed. While it was compact it was all we needed as most of our day was spent exploring the National Park. We could walk into town - not that it is very big. Would stay again if in the area.
