Detailed Reviews
It is very close to beach, Pelican feeding in morning etc, Pelican Cafe at end of road had amazing food/coffee. Our room was nice, clean and beds were great. There is a shared living space which we did not use but kitchen was very well equipped if needed. Multiple clean clothes available if needed to wash up etc. We walked to Finlay’s for dinner, approx 5 minute walk. It looks a bit rough from the outside but room/location for us was perfect for what we needed…. a bed for a couple nights while out exploring.

It is basically a backpackers. Showers were dirty, the room was stuffy and only one blind could be opened. The main bed had a broken bedhead that was just leaning up against the wall. No idea why the review has to have 200 characters, maybe so people can't be bothered writing a review.

Do not stay here!!
It is unsafe, unclean and the owners / staff are unfriendly and rude.
The pool fence is held up by ratchet straps and the gate does not self close. I overheard a staff member asking the owner where the pool test kit was and she advised “I don’t think we have one”. We stayed for 4 days and the pool was not cleaned once and was extremely dirty with a brown ring around the entire pool.
The facilities are dirty and old. You are sharing the facilities with the Backpackets lodge.
Our door had been broken into and the door all damaged and split.
The “shared bathroom and toilet” is shared between at least 20 people.
The fire blanket is all taped up and not able to be used.
Kitchen is filthy.
Table cloths in the shared kitchen have mould spots.
All kitchen utensils and cutlery/crockery are old and dirty. Coffee cups all stained.
The same dishcloth and tea towels were in the kitchen the entire 4 days we stayed, not once washed.
For $225 a night, I was not expecting a dirty, unsafe place to stay with my children!
Extremely disappointed as this is not how it is shown in the photos online. Very deceiving!!

I booked family room for 3 kids and 2 adults on 25/26 of sep 2024. It was a tiny room even cannot move easily. Room door was broken and no internet connection. Toilet should share with 3/4 rooms. Guy who were there came time to time and request to keep silent in all rooms in upstairs. Floor made from cheap timber and there was a big noise even when walking. There wasn’t any ladder for bunker bed to climb to the top bed.
Don’t book this for any type of night stay

We booked a family room at the Kalbarri inn for one night.
We did not feel safe at all staying here and were glad to immediately leave in the morning
Our door had evidence it was tampered with as if our room had been broken into.
The photos on the website do not accurately reflect the run down accomodation, and border upon false advertising.
Darren the staff member we communicated with was rude and offered no solutions to our concerns.
The room was tiny,
there were cockroaches in the room, and there were less beds that implied on the website. The flyscreen was removed off the bedroom window so that the window could not be opened without bugs and mosquitos coming in the room. There was ONE SINGLE SHARED TOILET and one single shower to share between FIVE ROOMS of people, which we were not made aware of before.
The toilet had no toilet paper during our stay and staff were less than accomodating. When providing feedback about the cleanliness and signs someone had broke into our room, management Darren simply replied with that the window could be kept closed if the flyscreen was missing and “thanks Karen” to imply I was a Karen for providing feedback.
Save yourself the trauma and do not book here. For over $130 a night , you are better off sleeping in your car and using the caravan parks ammenities. We had to as the single toilet and single shower were constantly occupied.

The owner Darian was super kind and very helpful. He saved our night! The facilities were all clean. And the Wi-Fi and kitchen were good too. Had an excellent stay. Also it is close to the beach and calm at night. Had a good sleep. Would come back any time.
