Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Previous reviews are 3 years old now, I feel nothing has been done to keep up. The crockery is dated, chipped. Cutlery does not match. That being said, the cottage was clean and the host was very welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights and it was great to have a full kitchen. Added plus is the washing machine, although we didn't use it, it will be great for travellers staying longer.

We stayed 6 days in the cottage, with our dog. He could stay on the veranda while we were exploring the national park, which worked well. The cottage has all comforts, the double beds are also the lounge, and plenty of chairs to invite guests over. Steve and Ingrid took us out to the river for lunch, boiled the billy, showed us edible mushrooms and wild flowers. Very relaxing and welcoming.

Steve and Ingrid are exceptional hosts. They treated us as if we were part of the family visiting for the weekend. They gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped us plan further ahead on the trip, and entertained us with great stories. The cottage itself is a single room with two queen-size beds and everything thing you’d need for a visit to Kalbarri (kitchen, laundry, shower, wifi). It’s in a quiet location with easy access to town and the parks. You can even hear the ocean when you’re sitting outside at night. Definitely worth the stay!

Perfect cottage. Clean and well equipped. Ingrid and Steve were excellent hosts. Friendly and informative which helped us do the things we wanted to do in a short period of time. Steve directed me to little Jake beach where I did some bodysurfing, the coastal cliffs where there are stunning views and Nature’s Window Loop which is also spectacular. We were warned of the intense heat we would experience there and made sure we started early and took plenty of water as advised. Can’t recommend Cable Cottage highly enough.

Stayed 2 nights, good value, free wi-fi, Tea/ coffee and toast for breakfast included. Short drive into town, close to walk trails. We were also able to holiday with our dog rather than leave him in a kennel. Good amenities - washing machine, utensils to cook if you wanted to, hair dryer, iron, T.V, air conditioner.

I did stay only for one night, but I loved it! The cottage is a big room, equipped with a full kitchen, washing Maschine, A/C etc in an extension separated from the main house I was invited by Steve and Ingrid for an extended breakfast (with lots of interesting talk) on top of the normal in room breakfast, what a joy to sit on the terrace in the first floor, enjoying the beautiful garden A place to come back

Our hosts, Ingrid and Steve, made us feel as if we were part of the family, without being intrusive. We loved the peaceful and clean accommodation which had all we asked for- plus a washing machine! We dont understand why this place isnt featured as TOP of the places to stay in Kalbarri as its perfect and very reasonably priced. We can highly reccommend it.
