We thought to have had such a great accomodation. The carriage was lovely and clean and we could organise something to get in as the host was not there when we arrived. Shame we didn't have the time to take a bath. It looks lovely. Breakfast was great too and the host quite nice and chatty. Why only two stars? We had to transfer our overnight fee onto her bank account. It was quite difficult as we are visitors from abroad. But I was glad that it worked out well in the end. However when I checked my bank invoice I discovered an additional 60 AUD fee which was abducted coz of an international money transfer fee. Well, the host has done that a couple of times though, lived abroad herself and thats why I had to believe she knows about that bloody fee. So I kinda feel ripped off and disappointed now. That shouldn't have happened. So my advice, especially to those Bibbulmun Track hikers, if you stay there and don't have an Australian bank account, take enough cash!…
We stayed here for our 16th anniversary and had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Our hosts Karan and Dave were so friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing one hour massage at the spa followed by a magnesium stone bath. The ultimate in relaxation! Breakfast was delicious and Karan catered for our gluten intolerance and even baked delicious banana muffins for us. We were joined by bandicoots which was such a treat. We highly recommend this for couples needing a break or just wanting to spend quality time together
Staying at the Railway carriage was a real treat ... I haven't been this spoiled since being in Bali! The carriage is done out so beautifully, the little private garden is full of little surprises, the sweet attention to detail all around is absolutely divine. We were looked after so well, we were truly blown away! Loved it very much. And what a generous breakfast ... so beautifully prepared and wonderfully delicious!
We spent two nights in the Cottage in August and had a wonderful time thanks to the hospitality of the owners Karen and David, their masseuses, and the delightful outdoor nighttime spa bath experience (if you have the chance, do it!). The cottage was homey and cosy but not cramped and whilst we felt we were in the countryside, modern conveniences were nearby. We could have happily spent a few more nights there. Highly recommended and looking forward to another stay.
