A great easy road in – well graded (less than 4kms) – makes the start of your stay a pleasant one. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Denver who is the property owner and farmer and Trumper (his cattle dog). Denver showed us to our room and ensuite – perfectly appointed room (which also had a tv). Jennifer and Nary were absolutely delightful, helpful and incredibly kind. We were offered tea, coffee, drinks and the warmth and friendliness was great (so different to Bullara which is commercial and lacks the personal touch).

Our room at the homestead had a queen bed – super comfy and in the middle of winter didn’t get bitterly cold (though air con was available we didn’t’ need to use it). The bathroom had a toilet and shower with good shower pressure and toasty hot water. Whisper quiet at night.

The grounds made for many a good photo. Lots of cockatoos, a few horses and “farm” landscapes. At night there is an opportunity to meet others around the campfire for a drink (byo). Home cooked dinners are also available (just contact Jennifer in advance) - they looked fabulous (fresh meat pie, mash and veggies).

This is a true homestay with wonderful hospitality. Sorry we only discovered on our way back to Exmouth and had a plane to catch. Would highly recommend.

We were traveling and got stuck here with the covid thing.
Well we are so thank-full we got stuck within this paradise.

Weve had time to get to know the station stay, as well as the creek sites and beach sites. Ive had some amazing fish and mud crab catches, along with the most glorious sunsets by the fireside and the most peacefull nights under the stars, imaginable.

Yes the real is here.
Bring some spray if planning to go near the mangrove as sandflies live in the North West of Australia.
Easily Managable though just spray. I found Aerogard Tropical the best. Baby oil mixed with eucalyptus oil and some tea teee oil aint half bad either.

Both are good for the flies too.which are also potentially part and parcel of an outback experience.
If heading to the beach lower your tyre pressures and drive to conditions. The lower tyre pressures really help comfort levels on corrugated roads. Its rhe outback :)

Ive travelled the world and ive travelled Australia more than most.

The owners here are the real and genuine deal. They simply can't do enough to try to accommodate you.

For those few negative posters, I can only say you were the few that couldnt see the woodlands due to the trees.

Being real, it isn't the prestine, all but impossible within this environment, outside of paying $500 odd per night for some fake inderstanding of what things are really about.
It is however homely and clean as what can be and very comfortable, being as advertised with more than reasonable prices reflecting the outbacks reality.

Its certainly infanately more comfortable than it was for the shearers in the old days I would say, looking at the beds they used to sleep on, which you can see around in the old sheds around the homestead when doing a bit of exploring :)

What I see as so amazing about Giralia, is that magic experience, where you can get a real feel for what the outback is really about, being a little different from the norm. Above all, it gives opportunity to explore and understand such a unique place while being under the caring eye of Denver and Jennifer Blake, with the Blakes being generational owners of Giralia station.

An experience not to be missed, in my humble opinion.

Giralia is the perfect stop for a wide range of travellers. Whether you've got all you're own gear and just looking for somewhere to park up or you want to put your feet up in a nice room Giralia's the place. We were 3 young guys just travelling with swags and the bush camp sites near the homestead were ideal. The toilet and shower facilities were really flash especially considering how remote you are, but they still have maintained the "old station look," with the corrugated iron etc which is all part of the outback experience. We were there in the middle of winter and warm showers were great. Also you get mobile reception which is unheard of in the bush! Denver and Jennifer are great hosts and go above and beyond to look after everyone plus they're great people to top it off! The reception area has a lot of really interesting information about the history of the station, School of the Air and the pastoral industry in general, all well worth the time to take a look at. The homestead accomodation is top class while still giving you a great outback experience which is what you want. We were also treated to a roast dinner and desert and couldn't fault it. There is also camping available down at the beach which is a great fishing spot so we'll be back again to stay for longer! Access into the station is easy and the road from the highway is in good condition for all cars.

We booked to stay 3 nights at Giralia Station in January 2021 after seeing some photos from a friend earlier in the year. We arrived after a long drive from Denham in 43 degree heat. When we got there the AC had only just been turned on and the cottage we’d booked was probably 50 degrees inside.

While the scenery was spectacular there were two problems with our stay.

1: We just picked the wrong time of year. It was just far too hot for us to have an enjoyable stay. The AC didn’t cool half the building, and the bathroom was a hot house.

2: The hosts just didn’t seem prepared for our stay. The AC got turned on far too late on such a hot day. The toilet didn’t flush. The TV remote had flat batteries. There was only 1 roll of TP for 6 people across 3 nights.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay there more than one night and we left with the overwhelming feeling that the Station would be a beautiful spot almost any other time of the year.

Stayed 3 nights here.
Very rustic with some quirky features.
We thought the shearing shed converted into showers and toilets was very unique.
Generally we thought the surrounds needed a good tidy up and a bit of TLC. But do understand that it is a working station.
Unfortunately we had a near neighbour with a yapping dog, which spoilt it a bit.
We did think it was a bit expensive for no power or water ($45 p/n)
But don’t be too discouraged by our impression, others have loved it.

We booked a bush camp site. We were told we had power from 6-9, little were we told that was PM, so no fridge to keep our stuff cold or air con in the heat of the day. Bathroom and toilets are clean, had really hot showers, most appliances in the kitchen were out of order. They had a movie on in the shearing shed at night for the kids. Beautiful sunrise on the morning we left was the best part about the stay...

Had the best two weeks at the Giralia Station beach camp and finished up at the homestead for the last night .

No, not 5 star on the usual scale. But for a relaxing, clean and friendly stay couldn't get any better. The best 5 star stay I've enjoyed in many years. Much quieter and untouched compared to Nigarloo Coast camps.

Beach camp was pristine and quiet. Need to be fully self sufficient as there is nothing there except sand, the ocean and clean air.

Had the boat moored 20 metres from the camp site. Just need to work with the tides. They are big! Take a tide app with you.

Fishing was ok for July. Didn't go hungry and came home with a freezer of reef shark, GT and mackerel. Had a 4.3 m boat with 60 hp. Easy tow in from homestead, just be prepared to take 1 hour 40 to get to the beach camp to keep your gear in one piece.

Good Telstra reception at beach camp.

Amazingling friendly and helpful management and staff.

The room at the homestead had ensuite. All beautifully clean and welcoming. Dinner was fantastic after a day packing and travelling back from the beach camp.

We (myself, wife and another couple - 2 caravans) have recently spent 3 nights at the Homestead (grassed area just past it) and loved every moment. We would spend the day exploring the beach, creek and fossil fields and at night chill out with our camp fire and dutch oven cooking. So different from busy caravan parks. Denver and Jennifer have done an amazing job with the Australian station touches - the shearing shed showers and toilets are a gem - spectacular open window views. We would love to return.

What a little gem of a station stay with our camper. The weather was perfect and the location was fantastic right on the waters edge. The owners of the station were extremely helpful and accommodating. Thank u so much for sharing this fabulous location.
