Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great little resort in Exmouth. It’s got everything you need to a fantastic stay and prices are reasonable. The restaurant was especially good with excellent food at good prices. Also heaps to do for the kids and a great location in town walking to all the bars and cafes.

Myself and a few mates decided it was time for lunch at the local . First of the Bat , you cannot buy Pints at this local pub in Exmouth, your only allowed Schooners but pretty well the same price as a pint . That’s a bit rich but anyway we shall move on and talk about the Steak Sandwich price and quality of meal . Well for the high end price this place charges there should be a nice Steak Sanger and Chips , that isn’t what we witnessed, we got a very average looking burnt bun and some off coloured Lettuce that wasn’t even chopped. It didn’t look good at all , no Love was put into building this meal . Well that’s it for me at this local , it’s become plain rip off and we will find somewhere else in this town to have Lunch.

This is the worst place in exmouth, rooms are run down, smell of smoke (although they are supposed to be non smoking), grounds are not maintained, you get kicked out of the pool at 6.00pm in the middle of summer, drinks are expensive and very little range of cocktails etc, nothing like what it is made out be. VERY DISAPPOINTING for a so called "Resort"

Wow, some seriously negative reviews had us worried we'd picked the wrong place. So we were very happy to find ourselves in a tidy, spacious, well equipped 2br unit. AC in main room and main br was very welcome as outside hit 39C. Outside seating front and back, and a view to garden. Kitchen has no oven, but has good conduction cook top, microwave, and there is bbq for oven like cooking. All the utensils you need, and a big fridge. Washing machine and dryer. One negative is WiFi only available at Central pool area. We stayed 7 happy nights.

Nice, comfortable and clean 2 bedroom villa with everything needed for a multi day family stay. Lots of accommodation options in the large complex. Room had washing machine and dryer in the room which was a nice touch after a few days travelling.

The whole place feels run down and is in dire need of fixing up. Staff are friendly but not that helpful. There is no internet access outside of the bar area and adjacent common room. The internet was apparently 'down' the whole time we were there. Would not recommend

We stayed in dorm rooms for two nights as part of an organized trip with Autopia. The place was conveniently located (just 8 mins walk from the main shops) and the beds quite comfortable. However there were lots of drunk people making noise at night and/or smoking next to the dorm rooms and in the kitchen area (even though the hostel is advertised as a non-smoking environment). Also the kitchen was often a mess as people left their dirty dishes everywhere. I'd suggest better enforcing the rules with the residents/long-term holidayers of the hostel to improve everyone else's experience. Apart from these things I would recommend staying at this place especially for the snorkeling with whale sharks (most tour companies offer pick up at this location).

This was undoubtedly the worst accomodation I have experienced travelling. All night long I had to suffer drunks above me thumping, shouting, banging, moving furniture, running the shower all night, doing their washing, yelling to others down the corridor and generally being insane. They sounded like residents not travellers. The noise was unbelievable and the whole place had drunks wandering around, leering at me, with people sitting outside across the way drunkenly carrying on all night sitting around yelling. The room smelt badly of rank fragrant chemicals, the kettle was burnt out and I had to find another one. The receptionist was so hopeless that the room I had booked for, he did not reserve so I didn't have a room when I got there. At the last minute they found one for me which was in the worst location. I knew this place would be basic but I think its full of residents and not holiday makers. Nightmare on Murat rd!!!

Do not stay at this resort on a Friday night if you want to get some rest. Friday night is live music night! The music thankfully stopped just before midnight (2355), so luckily we were able to get a couple of hours rest before around 0200-0300, a person (or persons) decided to have a cook- up on the bbq that was situated behind our room. The person(s) were extremely noisy, talking on their mobile phone etc. Our room was also near the outdoor TV screen, so on the other evenings during our 4 night stay we could hear a variety of sporting matches being screened. Room and linen were clean but some terminal cleaning is required eg en suite windows and internal metal corrugated walls. Potshot is in urgent need of some TLC. On a POSITIVE note the staff at Potshot were friendly and helpful, plus the pool area is a nice place to get a quiet drink and relax, plus there was some very creative bespoke wooden furniture surrounding parts of the pool.

Stayed in the cabins across the street from the hotel and the music on a Friday and Saturday night from the pub was so loud it vibrated the back cabins (essentially a street away). Poor form. Can only image what it is like for the front cabins or hotel guests.
