We were quite pleasantly surprised by this property. Booking at the last minute only a standard room was available, we didn't expect too much so a clean relatively modern room with a double and single bedding was a welcome surprise. The property has two pools, it's own bistro with a dining option by the pool and plenty of parking. Whilst the walls were quite thin and we could hear our neighbours shower every morning we were lucky enough to be on the end of a block of 5 rooms with only the one room next to ours so this didn't bother us at all. A word of warning, do not expect your room to be serviced, we had a 4 day stay and our room wasn't serviced once. We had to empty the bins ourselves and if we wanted fresh shower or pool towels we had to ask reception and whilst this was no problem they were not always available. The location of this property is on the main road, only one street away (a short walk) from the main shopping centre where there is an IGA, bakery, restaurants, newsagent, chemist etc.
All whale shark tours pick up from this hotel. There are no cooking fascilities in the room but there is a jug and mini fridge. All in all, the rooms are simple, clean, comfortable and affordable.

My husband and I had a 2 bedroom unit in a single story block at the far end of the resort, back from the main road. It had the vibe of an 80's motel but appeared to have been recently partly renovated and was quite clean and adequate for our 9 night stay. It was sufficiently roomy for the 2 of us and had what looked like pretty new full size refrigerator, washing machine, drier, plus a microwave, hot plate and an extensive range of crockery, cutlery and cooking gear. Tea, coffee, condiments, a small UHT milk, dishwashing supplies and laundry powder were also provided. There was also a clean BBQ and table and chairs on our patio at the front of our unit and a small table and chairs in a small courtyard beside the main door. The windows all had timber venetians which had seen better days. The bathroom had received a partial reno. but the shower stall remained the old original one and was a bit sad. On the positive side there was plenty of hot water. There was a box style airconditioner in each room and while they were efficient they were too noisy to sleep with and we were able to hear the next door's air con running through the night as well. Other than hearing this noise there was no neighbour noise or noise from the road. TV reception was fine. The bed was fairly comfortable though the pillows could do with an update. The linen was in good condition. I did not expect to have the room serviced during our stay but on the friday after arriving on the monday we were surprised to have a full room service, linen change, fresh towels etc. The bistro is large and serves standard pub fare nothing flash but it was fine and we ate there several times. We received our meals pretty quickly. Like everywhere they had limited staff and the menu was limited, but we were quite satisfied with the service and options. The resort is centrally located to the town centre with a variety of shops, bakery, supermarkets, restaurant, bank etc. As we did not have a car this was important to us. Taking a short cut out the back of the resort, it was a 8-10 minute walk to the shops. If you follow the road around the front of the resort the walk is about 12 - 15 minutes. There is not a lot of eating options within walking distance. We wandered down to the BBqFather at a resort about 10 minutes walk away and it was very nice. There is a bottle shop on site next to reception. All staff were friendly and professional. The resort is no frills but suited us fine and the main priority was being within walking distance to town services. We were here to scuba dive and a luxury holiday was not planned or expected. I would be happy to stay here again if I didn't have a car.

The Potshot bistro food was fantastic, good large servings and very tasty. Our room was an average room, clean and tidy with a refurbished bathroom, but the room had an inter connecting door which was not very noise proof, hence we could hear the very early morning noise from next door.
The room did not have daily cleaning but was done when asked and fresh sheets and towels were provided. The only minor problem was that when we used the toaster, the fuse keep tripping, so we had to reset the fuse multiple times. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. Very good value for money, as all we basically did was sleep in the room as we were outdoors each day.

Absolutely amazing! This place was exactly what we were looking for for a stay of a few days in Exmouth. We stayed in the two bedroom apartments (we were two couples) and it was PERFECT. The bedrooms were separate and spacious. Living area and kitchen were good sizes and open. Only downside is that there was no couch-- only a big table and a few chairs. Back patio was great as was the little front patio. Bathroom was a little small but worked perfectly enough, especially considering the bathroom also contained the washer and dryer (which also worked great!). Always felt safe while staying here. Staff at reception were very nice and helpful, and gave us extra laundry packets for free, which was very appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience here and would absolutely stay again.

We stayed in dorm rooms for two nights as part of an organized trip with Autopia.

The place was conveniently located (just 8 mins walk from the main shops) and the beds quite comfortable. However there were lots of drunk people making noise at night and/or smoking next to the dorm rooms and in the kitchen area (even though the hostel is advertised as a non-smoking environment). Also the kitchen was often a mess as people left their dirty dishes everywhere. I'd suggest better enforcing the rules with the residents/long-term holidayers of the hostel to improve everyone else's experience. Apart from these things I would recommend staying at this place especially for the snorkeling with whale sharks (most tour companies offer pick up at this location).

Dark, dingey, dirty and full of cockroaches, that is what welcomed me. The blinds were down and you had a hard time trying to get them up and then to stay up and when you got the blinds up you had a lovely view of the carpark and absolutely no privacy - so your choice is full view to everyone or live in a dark cave.

The box air conditioner was so loud that I am pretty sure the apartments across the street could hear the unit working, but the air conditioner did work.

The bed sheets were threadbare, grey in colour and stained. If you are charging $250.00 per night, you can afford to update your linen and not use the old threadbare sheets, which are no longer white but a dirty grey colour from year 1971.

I wiped some surfaces in the room with an antibacterial wipe, only for the wipe to pick up grittiness and dirt (see photo) and we are suppose to be hygienically clean during these Covid times?????.

The room is not services or replenished during your stay. The only positive is that the air conditioner worked really well even though you needed ear plugs to sleep with it on, the rest of the hotel is not very complimentary. All I can say is keep driving and find somewhere else.

We stayed in the Hostel private rooms. Check in and out were fine, quick and with no problems. We knew it was basic when we booked, and the rooms are basic as expected but adequate - comfy bed but on wheels so moves all across the room, fridge, cupboard with hangers, bathroom. Towels available for a deposit. Parking just outside.
Kitchen is large, but mostly falling apart. Minimal or no plates, cooking utensils, cutlery. If you plan to use the kitchen often, I suggest you bring your own items with you. Additionally, it was closed some mornings with no mention of what time it opens - we often booked onto tours (whalesharks etc) which start with early pick ups, but we were unable to use the kitchen for breakfast.
Bar area is busy and lively with live music on some nights
Good location overall, short walk into the main town areas. Right next to a bottle shop if thats important to you also.

Myself and a few mates decided it was time for lunch at the local . First of the Bat , you cannot buy Pints at this local pub in Exmouth, your only allowed Schooners but pretty well the same price as a pint . That’s a bit rich but anyway we shall move on and talk about the Steak Sandwich price and quality of meal . Well for the high end price this place charges there should be a nice Steak Sanger and Chips , that isn’t what we witnessed, we got a very average looking burnt bun and some off coloured Lettuce that wasn’t even chopped. It didn’t look good at all , no Love was put into building this meal . Well that’s it for me at this local , it’s become plain rip off and we will find somewhere else in this town to have Lunch.

The Potshot Resort, in fact during the check-in process we were given a unit in Osprey Holiday Village, was a great choice for exploring the Cape Range National Park, with obvious emphasis on its wonderful beaches...
Our unit was big enought for my party of 6, it was very well decorated and had a kitchen and BBK facilities more than enough for everyone.
A place to highlight in this area of Western Australia.

Checked in for 1 night, payed $220 for the one night in a king room and although the room was nice enough. The shower just dribbled water and didn't spray properly. Tea and coffee was provided but no teaspoons to mix anything with. For the same sort of room at the RAC caravan park it comes with a microwave as well and at $50 less a night

Hi Karen, if you have a look in the top green section in Trip advisor there is a section that says post. It will prompt you to type in where you want eg Coral Bay. Then will give you a list of places there to review. Click the one you want then follow the prompts. Good Luck
