Enjoyed the stay immensely. Great burger night Friday, yummy scones and having an astronomer on hand was the icing on the cake. Hale Hut was great, very comfortable with a great deck, daybed, hammock and swing chair.
Stayed here with the family as a base for visits to friends in Exmouth to avoid the masses in the caravan parks. Cafe there makes fabulous food and good coffee (food only morning, coffee until 4) and we paid for dinner one night at the station too. Very good food and ambience, with a personal intro from the chef. Lovely and helpful staff. Facilities were clean and functional. Good hot shower. Campsites simple and clear, but the ground is incredibly hard, so be prepared for this. Someone on site with a drill to help you with this if needed. Need to stay much longer next time to try out all of the walks and 4wd tracks. Animals wander through the station. Including sheep, bush turkey, and others. Chances to meet and pat cattle, goats, and other animals. Will definitely head back to…
We stayed @ Bullara for 2 nights with our family of 4. We spent most of the days exploring Exmouth & catching up with friends but loved returning to our campsite each night. We had morning tea on 2 days and the food was incredible. Delicious scones and quiche and great coffee. What a lovely experience being able to sit in the homestead grounds. We also had a sit down dinner on one of the nights. The food was incredible and it was very enjoyable to briefly meet some of the hardworking station employees around the fire beforehand. Thanks to Courtney the chef for the meal. The amenities were clean and quirky, in a good way. Our children loved al the animals to pat - including sheep, goats and an emu. We all loved the atmosphere of the place and are keen to return.
Our family had never visited a ‘station’ before. We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 3! Although we spent the days out exploring it was always nice coming back to our spot. Each night was something different at Bullara.. we had a live band one evening and burger night another, all while gathering around a fire pit. The facilities were on trend with the rustic look and were cleaned regularly. The staff were very friendly even though they had their hands full with such a busy time of year. Only suggestion to travelers would be, if you plan to do laundry, bring gold coins! Perhaps a token system might be better fitted? We will be calling back again on our next visit up the coast! Thanks Bullara for a great experience!
We stayed here for 4 nights but could have stayed much longer. The sites are big and spacious and the amenities are very clean. The scones are amazing with excellent barista coffee. The Damper evenings with John are a way to meet other travellers and chat. We loved having a shower in the Lava trees. We will be back
