Stayed here for a few days after a recent trip to Karijini in Sept/Oct. We stayed in a room in the Shearers Quaters. Fantastic set up in the room. Roomy with a fridge, ceiling fan, air con, somewhere to hang your clothes, comfy queen bed, a single bed and plenty of power points in places that made sense for charging all your devices. Linen was provided. Plugging in a car fridge wasn't a problem here. If staying in these rooms you have exclusive access to a special area with the following: a kitchen with the best amenities that we've seen in a camp kitchen anywhere, multiple sitting and dining areas, bbq, fire pit, toilets and shower and a lawn area. Kitchen and sitting area is screened and has fans so no pesky flies or bugs in your food. Everything is kept very clean and very well maintained. Staff are courteous and very helpful. We did the not to be missed burger night with entertainment which was fantastic. Also had a long table dinner booked which was so amazing that we booked for the following night too. Beautiful fresh and tasty food at a working cattle station, who would have thought. Well done to the chefs. The cafe in the Woolshed serves great coffee and drinks, large moreish scones with jam and cream and lots of other assorted homemade baked goods. It was AFL grand final when we were there and they set up an area in the Woolshed for chairs so we could all watch the final on a big screen. Plenty of places to sit and chill and areas for the kids to run around too. Wandering friendly pet farm animals, sheep, calves and horses are a bonus. We would recommend staying here to anybody. They have rooms or places for tents or caravans. They now even have a bar in the Woolshed for drinks. The owners and staff should be very proud of what they have achieved here. Visit, you won't be sorry.

What a fabulous Station! Huge sites, extremely friendly staff who are happy to chat or help in any way, very clean and tidy and the animals are wonderful for the kids (and adults 😉)! Friday burger night was so seamless and well organised, and the Bullara beef was so good we bought some patties, sausages and a roast to-go! Our 9 year old son said that burger night was ‘the best’! The sausage rolls and Bullara Beef pies are no joke a meal in themselves and so tasty, I had to buy a few extras for the road! Having access to the Gulf diversified our stay and is well worth it, we went at low tide and saw heaps of crabs and mudskippers. We were lucky enough that the markets were on and fresh produce from Borich & Sons was available as well as sand-free towels and items from Will & Wind. Also, bought my very own Lap Map from Soph (Lapmap Australia) and can’t wait to track our tracks! The recent improvements to the Station show the owners’ passion for creating a unique destination in the Gascoyne. We will be back!!

Bullara is welcoming, quite quirky, lots of camping sites and accommodation with a cafe and restaurant, food options most evenings. Our tent site was large, not much shade but there was a tree we could sit beneath. A water tap was provided at each site, we could easily cook and wash up so we didn't need to use the central camp kitchen. There are lots of shower and toilet blocks, some very unusual, sometimes we had to walk a distance as the cleaners were there or all were in use nearby. There's a couple of short walks through the bush, and it's a reasonable drive to Exmouth. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was great, and scones and coffee at the cafe. Lots of children having a great time there.

We booked the shearers shed, our room was great, big, comfortable, TV and air. It was advertised as having shared bathrooms and kitchen. The photos looked great. But when you get there the bedrooms are all in one big row with a nice verandah. To access the kitchen/BBQ you need to walk around to the other side of the rooms across the garden and the kitchen/lounge is about 25 metres behind your rooms. There is a fence on both sides so that only the people staying in the Shearers Lodge can use them, with 2 toilets outside of the kitchen. The bathroom photos they show on the website are over on the other side of the cafe/eating area. With our schedule we could only stay there on a saturday but that meant we missed the burger night on friday and the 3 course dinner on sunday. But they advertised damper at 5pm. Nothing was said on checkin but the damper was cancelled because the guy who normally does it hurt his back. I was very disappointed in this as it was a highlight for me and didnt happen. Scones the next morning were great.

We have been to Bullara Station the 4th time, this time without power. It was fantastic as usual they had Yoga, which I tried they had some yoga mats, but you have to get in early. The yoga instructor was very good she came and helped me with some things it was $10 at 7am. sharp. I missed the first one as I was showering. We had the usual scones and coffee, which was perfect. Fantastic for children they have in the morning and evening tge feeding of the sheep, calf's & goats. I did come across, baby snake, I warned the people near it, but when I had to walk to the toilet in the dark, I remembered the snake. A woman said Mum snake must be close by. We went to warm out pizza up at Camp Kitchen but found they didn't have a microwave, we used their oven, and there were utensils to use in the oven. That night, they had a pizza night the person cooking offered to warm our pizzas, but we had already done it. I also charged our mobile phones. I took my computer to charge only once, I found in the bar, lounge a dinning area there was places to charge things. We went across the main road to more of the Bullara Station, who did a bit of 4 wheel driving and saw a baby calf that ran off, we saw cattle. I didn't go to the Gulf as I was told only a few weeks before there was a crockodile seen. Beautiful place, they are continually doing improvements. I heard them say there are glamping tents.

Great stay on a working station. Set up so well for campers with very clean quirky amenities, great homemade food available daily, and long table dinners a must in the shearing shed. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the station and the damper tasting.

We (my hubby, 3 teenage boys and myself) stayed at Bullara station for four nights but wish we could’ve stayed for longer.
We enjoyed the warm atmosphere that Bullara offers and the many things to see and do. On our first night we enjoyed the delicious burger night with live music, the second night, hubby and I went to the “Table” dinner which was definitely a highlight, I’ve never tasted steak that good! Of course we had to experience the scones and coffee one morning too.
There’s a great 4WD to the gulf where the kids enjoyed trying to catch mud crabs. There’s some great walking path (or mountain bike riding) paths around the property, our favourite was the one that lead up to the sunset hill.
So much thought and passion has been put into this property, the little details (showers and toilets) are what make it stand out from anywhere else we stayed.
Just an hour from Exmouth and 40 mins from Coral Bay, we will definitely be back, and next time we plan to stay longer.

Being our first visit to the Ningaloo area we were unsure whether to stay in Coral Bay or Exmouth, so opted instead for Bullara Station which is about half-way between (45 mins to CB and one hour to Exmouth). Very happy with our choice, as staying inland on a station was a very different experience to what we would have had staying in either coastal town, and worth the extra driving to and from those centres.
We stayed in the Shearers Lodge, which has its own kitchen and recreation area, as well as the use of the swimming pool. Bathroom facilities are shared with the other guests (ie including campers), but there are plenty of them scattered around so there was never a queue. Despite the rustic appearance of the buildings and dusty roads, the facilities were always clean and tidy.
On our last evening we booked in for the steak night ($35 pp for two courses), which was enjoyed at a long table under the stars. Fantastic!! Food was delicious and great to be able to chat to both staff and other guests. Coffee and scones on the front lawn in the mornings was also much enjoyed.
If I could be permitted two small suggestions for improvement please: provide more than two coat hangers in the wardrobe; and a few hooks or hangers in the room as there was no where to hang up your towel to dry. A couple of towel rails could easily be installed on the outside of the wardrobe maybe??
Bullara really strives to put its guests first and make sure their stay is interesting and memorable. Ours certainly was, and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you!

A wonderful station stay. Lovely to wake to the sound of birds in a well set out, spacious camping area. The thoughtfully designed rustic facilities were always clean and functional and the camp kitchen was always left neat and tidy by fellow campers. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful and communication throughout the booking process for our extended family was excellent. Wonderful to have an onsite cafe and evening dining options as well as optional fun activities such as the Friday hamburger night with entertainment. Great to have the cattle and horses nearby and a mottly flock of sheep wandering around the camp for a real outback feel. I would definitely stay at Bullara again.

Being two couples in Exmouth we found it impossible to find an accommodation in Coral Bay. After a long internet search, we found Bullara Station Stay. We phoned asking for any solution to spend the night and we were given the opportunity to stay in two rooms in the Shearers Lodge. Once in Bullara we checked in with very friendly staff and for dinner, since the restaurant was fully booked (max 32 people) we were advised to buy some meat they produce for a BBQ. The rooms were the first two of six rooms side by side with a common veranda. The car park was in front to the rooms which allowed a simple transfer of suitcases and other staff from the car to the accommodation. The rooms were simple but clean and with a bar fridge. There was no bathroom, however. A staff member then showed us a garden, located behind the building, fenced and reserved for the 6 rooms of the Shearers Lodge, where there were two very simple toilets while a sink was outside next to them. In the garden there was also a BBQ and a fire pit, with the wood ready to make the fire. The garden was bordered on the opposite side by another building in which there was a communal dining room and a large kitchen complete with everything. Also this facility was exclusive to the guests in the Shearers lodge. Around us there were many caravans while in front there was the restaurant with live music. Unfortunately, there was no possibility to buy beer in this really huge station stay. We had our BBQ and spent the evening chatting in front of the fire with the guests of other two rooms of the lodge. We then left early in the morning for Coral Bay before the Barista Coffee opened. The feeling was very positive because the staff was very kind, the environment clean and, despite the many people, during the night the silence was absolute. A huge, well organized and very interesting station stay in the middle of the outback of which we could only see a small part given the short stay. Recommended.

As reported in the review, we spent the night in one of the 6 rooms of the Shearers Lodge. We do not know the prices for the other accommodations. If you call they are very polite. If you decide to go, consider booking the restaurant as it only has 32 seats. Regards
