Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 3 nights. The sites are large and the laundry is good. The on-site restaurant was exceptional. The staff are efficient but not overly friendly or helpful. The toilet passes are $30 a pop and not labeled with your site so easily lost. The park was noisy on the first night we were there with both drunk people and a barking dog. Little to no patrol from the park operators. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We could only book two nights here which is a shame we would have liked longer but we will put it on the list for next time. The service was friendly and efficient when booking in, we found our site easily enough, it was easy to back into and the site is very roomy. There is a path out the back where you can walk to the town which is only 700mts away. We were sorry we weren't going to be staying longer.

2 Couples stayed in a Chalet. One room had a double bed, the other had 2 bunk beds. 1st bedroom had a/c and fan, bunk room had neither. There was a/c in the lounge/kitchen area and that helped the couple in the bunk room. Beds were comfortable. Chalet was clean. It was missing a TV remote but management managed to source one for us, which we were very grateful for and actually amazed that they could get another one - it's not as if there is a large electrical store in town! Also, fridge shelf was missing, but again management quickly replaced. The kitchen was adequate - microwave and stove top. Limited utensils but we managed with what was there. No microwave dishes, apart from crockery for 6 people. All crockery/ glassware was new and matched. We found management were generally good at taking care of any extra needs that we had. A fly swat would be welcome addition. Very convenient to access either end of town - everything was walking distance. We were on the road front road and we were concerned about traffic noise, but this was not a problem. The pool area was lovely and clean. WiFi was free and fast and didn't seem to be limited

Last visit to the area we stayed at Under the lighthouse , absolutely disgusting park however convenient to the beach. This year Ningaloo Park, restrooms slapped together in the ‘50’s, lock on doors doesn’t work therefore gaffa tape used to hold lock tongue back. Sites ok, trash collected promptly, as for the rates, well let’s just say $60/night for a powered site is kinda heavy, maybe $40 given the condition of facilities. Obviously the China Plague and closing down international travel has benefited local operators, however nothing lasts forever,.

Thanks for your review. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that you feel disappointed with Exmouth and what it has to offer. When you stayed with us you contacted us regarding the issues you were experiencing. As we mentioned then, we have recently renovated all but one of our amenities blocks. The one that has not been renovated will be completely rebuilt at the end of the year. Unfortunately it was not possible to complete the construction prior to the season. When you advised of us an issue with the ablution block our maintenance team attended immediately to solve the issue and advised all guests that were trying to use the block in the meantime to redirect everyone to the other ablution block. Unfortuntately it seemed that you were generally disappointed not just with the park but also Exmouth in general, the weather and the things that can be done in the area. We do not appreciate the wording "china plague" to be used in conjuction with our property and we welcome all travellers from around the world. We love to share this area with everybody and welcome anyone that would like to visit us. It is fair to say that Exmouth is located in a mostly dry and deserted area in the North West with pristine white beaches. It offers plenty of watersports, snorkelling, swimming, ocean and boating experiences as well as hiking in the gorges of the cape. We appreciate that this is not everybodys 'cup of tea' so we understand if this is not for you. We wish you all the best on your travels. Kind Regards The NCHR Team

First caravan place I have ever seen posted on the front door of reception a warning on “don’t be rude to our staff” .On arrival they blanket you with several rules that are not listed on their website e.g. “No additional vehicles” and ”Parking for paying guest are outside on the street not even in the caravan park”. There management is never available for 3 days I asked to speak to the manager and he was on his “off days” (this is in peak season). Staff is incredibly rude! I should have given the warning sign more attention. Every person I spoke to in the park had some or other complaint about Air/Con not working or plumbing problem or ablutions not clean or electrical problems. Mostly elderly people who don’t bother with reviews so I will add their say as well. When the manager eventually did avail himself, he seemed too preoccupied with being on his phone what sounded to be organizing fishing trips then to assists anyone’s concerns. I Highly Recommend RAC Caravan park across the road (cleaner ablutions, larger camp sites more modern amenities, friendlier staff), or even the Cape Range National Park (there long drops are better maintained then Ningaloo caravan park ablutions) Ningaloo caravan park might have been good many years ago, but current management and staff and dated amenities ruin it. I would rate it less than 1 star if I could.

We booked for a week in August, way to much to do here, stayed for another 3 days. Still lots to come back for.
The Park Staff and Management were friendly and accommodating when we wanted to extend even tough the park looks close to capacity, very accommodating and found a solution for us.
Initially stay was in a chalet, well appointed sleeps 6, clean, serviced, quiet safe area for kids with bbq gazebo access and a small playground. Our grandson lived the interaction with other kids. East facing, morning sun was nice and lower down the hill so protected from the wind a bit. A great spot.
We moved to a park home for the last few days as our chalet was booked, completely understand this and again glad the Park Team looked after us. Park Home is equally as comfortable, bonus was a washing machine so we didn’t have to go to the public wash house( no issue, public facilities are clean and adequate too) West facing- missed the morning Sun and a little more wind.
The resteraunt was always busy, so book if you want a great Italian meal or like BBQ ribs, big meals and good value.
The pool area was well used but never overcrowded during our stay.
The Camping and backpackers area looked good, clean and plenty of use which is a good sign.
Some extra facilities like Tour operators and Health Spa associated with the Park. We used Kings Tours one day and had a fantastic day on/in the water with them, another post.
Within easy walking distance of anything in the Exmouth Town.
The Park is secured by gates and friendly.
We Will be back.
Thank You

We checked into a budget room to find remainders of food left on the bedside table. As this was a budget room with very few facilities inside we were shocked to find such poor malpractice in housekeeping standards and such little care. Furthermore, the camp kitchen was an absolute disgrace and overrun with food and filth. When discussing with management that we wanted a refund MARIE was very rude and dismissive and accused us of putting the crumbs there (I am on holiday with much better things to do). After some discussion she stated that the room was cleaned to an acceptable standard for the price on 90dollars. We were stunned by this and when I highlighted the pandemic we are all facing and how maplractice in cleaning is unacceptable Marie said "your not getting a refund and that's it" walked away into the back office and left us in the reception. Shameful and a disgrace to the industry. GO STAY AT THE RAC!!!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. You booked one of our budget private rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared with the other campers at the park. Our camp kitchen gets cleaned thoroughly in the late morning each day and at 9pm before it is locked over night. As we are currently experiencing a lot of traffic, our camp kitchen is a popular spot for travellers and it is a shame if other guests are not cleaning up after usage for the next guest. When you checked in you went to your room and returned to reception only an hour later to report crumbs on your table. One of our staff went to inspect the room immediately. The table was cleaned instantly and the rest of the room inspected to ensure that the room was cleaned to an acceptable standard. Following this you asked for a refund which was not approved as the room was checked while you were present. The next day after staying the night you requested a refund again although you had stayed and used the facilities which were checked following your reports so a refund was declined. It is disappointing to hear that you did not enjoy your stay but we strongly feel that we followed all procedures and take hygiene at the park very seriously and ensured that your room was inspected upon your reports therefore we feel that a refund was inadequate in this instance. We wish you safe travels. Kind Regards The NCHR Team

Front counter staff were really rude. Not sure of the younger girls name but not sure she knows what working in hospitality is all about. They are obviously busier than usual and so have an attitude that they don’t need anyone’s business as someone else will come along.
Ants throughout camp kitchen constantly and campsite.
Says that the bathrooms were cleaned twice a day but with the amount of people staying they probably need to do it 3 times as the showers were always dirty.
Situated off the main road so if your campsite is at the front all your hear all night is cars going up and down. Don’t think we got one good night sleep there.
Will stay elsewhere in the future for nicer staff, cleaner facilities and quieter camp grounds.

We came for a weeks holiday, my daughter with her caravan. My partner and i were in a tent. We had asked to be close when we booked but we were not. We were told at reception that nothing could be done. My daughter was taken to her site and we were taken to ours. We set the tent up and went to the pool, which is lovely. When we returned to the tent a caravan was on the site and we had a message to go to reception. We were on the wrong site. We should have been taken to the site next door. We decided to pitch on my daughter's site as I am disabled and it was too far. This was a caravan site and we could not get the pegs in. The tent site we should have been on was large enough to fit both the van and the tent. Why couldn't the very unhelpful receptionists let us do this? By the time we realised, my daughter had already set up. We were crammed in like sardines. A long way from any BBQ area and no wifi. The washing machines were useless. We returned to reception 3 times to get a refund from the unused site and eventually had to pay $10 a day for a site we did not use. RAC for us next time.

Response from Manager NCHR, General Manager at Ningaloo Caravan & Holiday Resort
Responded 22 July 2020
We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the Ningaloo Caravan and Holiday Resort. I have investigated you review and have discovered that there is another review that relates to this one. This one is from ‘edwinaboyt’ and the second one is from ‘C2997FHjohnr’, I will address both of theses reviews in this response. Firstly, we do apologize for the mix up with the wrong site, we have all new staff and some of them are not as familiar with the park as they should be. We try to accommodate our guests wishes when it is possible but due to the volume of bookings after the covid lockdown was lifted and the school holidays we were not able to in your case, this was out of our control. You did book two sites and two sites were available to you, but As stated in your review you decided to erect your tent on your daughters site and then claim a refund for the other site you booked, a refund was given less $40.00 which is a standard administration fee. To then blame the park for and I quote ‘We were crammed in like sardines’ is a little unfair. You say the washing machines were useless but without any further information I cannot make any comment except that there were no comments made by any other guests during you stay. Both these reviews state you are disabled which leads me to believe they have been written by the same person which is fine but a little unfair. If the staff seemed a little bit overloaded, it is probably correct they were it is a terribly busy time of the year and guests continually asking for refunds does not help. It should be noted here that our terms and conditions state there are “no refunds” and you only received one because you were shown to the wrong site, even though you chose to stay on one site.

On arrival we were greeted by 3 bright & lovely ladies in the office who were so friendly, it was so nice after a days travel to get there.
The friendly gentleman on his buggy showed us to our site which was near trees & a reasonable size.
We stayed on site 305 for 4 nights & enjoyed it so much, asked if we could stay an extra 2 nights. This was achieved although we had to move site to 409 to allow a long term regular to move in once we moved out. The lovely ladies were so obliging, no drama finding us another site for the extra nights and our friendly gent showed us our new site, all done with cheery smiles.
Our last night we ate at the park restaurant & were pleasantly surprised by the size & scrumptious meals. Neither my hubby nor I could finish our meals.
We have stayed in hundreds of parks all over Australia & the Ningaloo Caravan & Holiday Resort would have to be the friendliest park we’ve ever stayed in.
To find a caring team who only have their customers best interests at heart is hard to find, particularly when they are so busy day in day out.
We intend booking for a month next year, the stay was so worth it, convenient to shops, beach, scenic drives, whale watching (unbelievable whales breaching everywhere) and the lighthouse.
Thanks Ningaloo we’re coming back.
