Detailed Reviews
The accommodation at the Wyndham Dunsborough is very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Clean, and all that you require for an apartment stay. Staff are pleasant and happy to help guests with inquiries which is a bonus!!. The amenities are good for families and include pool, courts, bbq facilities and a short walk to the beach. The grounds are well maintained but the mossies and midgies are pretty bad which I think is due to the overgrown grounds that surround the property as well as what appears to be a body of water between the property and the beach. Take insect repellent!!
The coastline around Eagle Bay is spectacular and reminds me how lucky we are to have pristine beaches and crystal clear water

Our stay at Club Wyndham was reasonably okay ! The hotel itself is a little tired from when I stayed last! A few things have changed! They no longer serve breakfast which is unsuspecting for a down south holiday resort in peak season!
There is no room service!
There was issues with the down stairs rooms aircon so we had a maintenance man in our room for two hours in the middle of the afternoon creating a link
From our room to the faulty room! No electricity in the room I. peak summer! Small hotel room so we went out and waited it out!
Upon arrival you will get hounded to do a join our club program and they don't take no for an answer easily! It's uncomfortable and not a pleasant check in experience!
It's hard to get parking in the car park!
The location is lovely, the beach is very accessible and the room was clean! There was no room service housekeeping during a three day stay! So towels weren't restocked!
It was ok

Excellent service, beautiful units and grounds, and excellent location. The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. We were provided a new set of towels on request at no extra charge, as we were in a studio apartment.

This property is going through an ongoing refurbishment, our experience was tradespeople, building rubble & noise.
We were given a “so called” refurbished unit. The floorcoverings & some curtains look new with selections made resulting in the interior looking like a Chalet in a Caravan Park. No update to any of the deteriorating cabinets in the kitchen. The blinds not replaced are old corroded fittings and difficult to operate. Old outdated outdoor furniture.
There has been NO replacement of large or small appliances or bedding. The kitchen equipment is very limited. There is seating in the living area for 3 people in a unit described as for 6 people. The seating is not opposite the old TV that does not swivel. The fridge is very undersized for a 6 person unit.
The bathroom newly install shower takes up Half the small bathroom area, no place around the hand basin for putting things & no bathroom storage, hanging rail for one bath towel, again in a unit for 6 people. It is necessary to keep the door open to have sufficient space to dry oneself.
Very noisy from road traffic. Noisy inefficient heating/air conditioner.
The property WiFi does not work, we had to use our mobile data during our stay. The only TV that works in the free to air, the screen goes black at times from connection interruptions. Some free to air channels are not tuned in therefore, not available. The movie selection is very old and painfully slow to react. Maintenance was not able to rectify the WiFi & TV issues during ourweek stay.
The restaurant is open 5 evenings a week, NOT breakfast or lunch and has a very limited menu, basic & expensive.
Could not recommend, plenty of other options in the area.

Large spacious unit
Each bedroom with ample sized en-suite so you can shower without bouncing off the walls
Main with kingsized bed
Well kitted kitchen with large dining/lounge area
Plenty of room for kids (although our daughter is way past that stage) to run around including nice pool area
Staff friendly & helpful even working under less than ideal circumstances, having had server room flooded the day before our arrival so computers were down. Even our post midnight check-in was handled with efficiency & a smile.
Definitely on our return another day list
Plenty of parking available, even over length spaces for car/trailer combinations

Whilst the resort is clean and well maintained we couldn’t help the feeling that we were back in the 1990’s as far as the interior decor, fixtures and furnishings was concerned. For those looking simply at a cost effective place to sleep and make use of the facilities (pool area is good) it may be the ideal place. Unfortunately for us it was a little beneath our expectations, which is partly down to us - more research before booking! Our studio (6204) badly needed updating but in all honesty it served a basic purpose. For those wanting to make or eat meals in their rooms go for the two bedroom units. The studio units just don’t make the cut - very small and limited kitchen facilities/space. And as the restaurant is closed for breakfast one needs to have something in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful although we suspect they were aware of some of the shortcomings in service - Tobys Restaurant for example was seriously lacking staff (effect of COVID) during our four night stay. The resort is not close to any alternative dining outlets so a little forward planning is required. Staff 9/10; Resort 8/10; Room 5/10.

Good location with private beach access pathway, plus the resort already has a pool, spa, restaurant (dinner only between Tue- Sat) barbecues and other guest facilities.
It's between Busselton and Dunsborough, so there's plenty of things to do and choices for dining or to buy supplies if you want to eat in the apartment.
We stayed in a 1st flr studio, without a full kitchen, but it has a microwave. Lovely balcony with outlook over gardens and comfortable room and bed. There was a bit of road noise, which we didn't expect but it helped if you closed off bathroom doors.

We enjoy staying at Club Wyndham due to the great location close to a large number of vineyards and other attractions, but this time we really enjoyed the service and hospitality at Toby’s Restaurant. The food was first class and the evening happy hours in front of the fire were a great end to the day. Michael is a very attentive and friendly host who did a great job looking after us there. Toby’s is a hidden gem and the hotel facilities are great - although the beds are a bit hard!

Booked two nights $450 per night. Checked in on. Ground floor room fine. Small dark and very dated. The worse was the bathroom. Spa bath which had seen better days with an old shower over it. Now I’m
Not as nimble as I once was but it was like doing gymnastics to get in andD out of the spa bath to take a shower. Not sure how elderly go. Then to the pool. We were promised a lagoon style pool. Luxury. We were attacked by flies to start with (ok I know is australia but these were horrendous) then to find a bed without a cushion that had bird poop all over it was difficult. There was obviously a problem with swallows as there was bird poo everywhere chairs bar outside and steps to indoor area. Not great. No cleaning being done to make these areas more appealing. That was our first and last trip
To the pool. Ate in the restaurant that night. Service was good by the very few staff but the food was very basic and not worth the price. No breakfast during the week either! This is peak season. Don’t think we will be back.

Hello Perth_WAThomassons, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to read that all wasn't to your satisfaction and I apologise for that. Later in the year, we will continue our room refurbishment and the spa will replaced with showers, which will make it easier. The restaurant windows have been cleaned, unfortunately impossible to get those done during holidays and we worked with the rangers to relocate the swallows. Your comments have been share with the relevant departments. I sincerely hope that you will give us another chance in the future. Thank you Kind regards Patrick

We unfortunately stayed amid C19, however the restaurant was still preparing takeaway until our last day. We loved the location, right on the bike/walking track if you bring your bikes (or hire them as we did). A lovely ride into Dunsborough. Just beyond the bike track was a small estuary which as bird lovers we enjoyed, especially the osprey that was present for 3 mornings! Beyond the estuary was the lovely beach. You can walk for miles, fish, swim, paddle, kayak. Sunsets beautiful. Pool and other facilities were closed due to C19, but there is so much to do in the south west that we wouldn't have had time anyway. Although right on main road, we had no road noise in our ground floor unit. Self contained unit was large and well equipped. Bed very comfortable. Weather great so did not need to use heating/air con.

Hello, thank you for your question, we so look forward to greeting you in December. Unfortunately, the closest place you can fly into is the Domestic Airport in Perth which is approximately 2.5 hours from us, from here, I would recommend renting a car for your stay down here as we aren't really walking distance to main attractions. If you do not wish to hire a car, you can catch South West Coachlines which does leave from the air port and go to either Busselton or Dunsborough, from there you can catch a taxi to the resort. There is a local bus that stops out the front of the resort but only goes as far as Busselton township or Dunsborough township.
Please do not hesitate to contact the resort with any further queries on 9756 9777.
Kind regards

OK. There are buses from Perth to Bunbury and Busselton. I guess there are direct flights from Cairns but the distance is pretty much Portland Oregon to Miami. Perth is the nearest Capital city and it is 3 hours drive from Perth to Dunsborough. Once at the resort you have easy drives to Busselton and Bunbury. Beware you will be tired after Australian domestic flights. eg. Sydney to Perth is some 5 hours IN THE AIR plus airports. If you charter from Cairns the Charter flight would probably need to refuel and the pilot rest before South West Western Australia. You might like to arrive in Perth from the US or fly from Sydney to Perth if Sydney is on your Itinery. If you are with Worldmark Whynham I thoroughly recommend the Ramada at Port Douglas. Its only an hour or maybe 1.5 hours from Cairns. With Australia you need to plan your trip especially if you are not driving. eg. Cairns to Sydney is 48 hours on Coach buses. I hope this helps. PS with our domestic flights,if youve paid you will not be bumped off. It may be best to book before you leave the US .
