We are a mature couple and we were very pleased we choose to stay at Bay Village Resort. Our apartment was very well equipped with a full kitchen, a very comfortable sleeping area with a king sized bed and off to the side a spa bath with an overhead shower. The gardens in the complex were very well attended as were the gallery style corridors and there were ample seating areas throughout. The location was very central close to beaches, shops and restaurants. It was also easy to explore the wineries around and to visit Geographe Bay.

We stayed in a two bedroom cottage (number 15). Bay Village Resort & Spa is located right in the heart of town. Walking distance to pubs, cafes, shops and a two minute walk to Geographe Bay. It has a great park next door for the kids (not on the property) and a small indoor pool. The cottage itself was cosy, beds were comfortable and it had all the amenities you would want. Please be aware the bunk beds do not have a ladder nor a safety rail. Therefore can be quite dangerous. We propped the door and a chair up against the door so the child on the top bunk would not fall off. My only issue is how noisy it was each night. Chalet 15 is right next door to the Pourhouse Tavern however I feel the majority of chalets would have heard the noise from this and the Dunsborough Hotel. I guess you have to expect this though when you choose to stay right in the middle of town. Overall a great spot close to Yallingup and Margaret River.

Booked the cottage via Booking.com, did an upgrade to the 2 story villa and got the cottage. This may be because of Booking.com not forwarding the upgrading request. I arrived after 8 pm on Friday so tried to speak with management on Saturday. On 3 occassions, the office was unattended. So I left it at that. Arriving at night is a bit tricky. 2 cars were parked in front of the sign making me drive past multiple times without finding the entry/ office. You get your key by typing in part of your mobile phone in a locked box. Cottage was reasonable, clean and had everything for a comfort stay. Free Wi-Fi was really good. It was close to the beach and right in town.
What I didn't like we're the bodybags at the end of the bed designed to strip off your own sheets at the end of the stay. I paid 265 dollars a night to receive a hotel service. I also feel the terminology "resort" is misleading here. The village contains more AirBnB type accommodation.
Will I ever come back here? Unlikely.

I might be going out on a limb, but feel like we had the worst apartment. We were extremely disappointed with the accommodation overall!
We booked an spa apartment with kitchen for 7 nights. It was dark and depressing. The décor was dated, very little natural light, lack of storage (no drawers) noisy and no balcony. We were allocated a ground floor apartment which meant we heard all the noise reverberating from upstairs, every time someone walked across the floor upstairs, we heard it. Every time someone had a shower or bath or spa, we heard it.
The room had one window above the bed. To have privacy, we needed to close the blinds, which led to no other natural light. There was one 2-seater lounge which was not large enough for two people to sit comfortably so one had to sit on the bed. Given that the room only accommodates two people - a two seat table would suffice.
We received fresh towels each day and the bed was made, however the room was not cleaned for the entire stay.
Looking at the photos on the website and internet - they certainly did not live up to expectation and was extremely overpriced!!

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at ‘Dunsborough Luxury Villa’ part of of Bay Village Resort. Villa 19 is privately owned.

It had 3 bedrooms with a spa bath/shower and toilet in each room and LCD. Heating, air conditioning and queen bed.

There was an additional shower and toilet downstairs.

Full kitchen facilities, microwave, full size fridge , oven, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer.

It was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay and have already booked to take our grandchildren back for January summer school break.

The owners were very accommodating, communication was great.

I highly recommend this property. Walking distance to town centre to grab groceries, eateries, the beach.

You will enjoy your stay here.

Overpriced for what you get.

Bit run down and seems the units are owned by third parties and managed by the "resort" so is a bit of lottery of house good a chalet you get.

The web site images are not a true representation of the actual accommodation and we felt misled.

We had to double check our booking a few times and the web images, as at first we thought we may have accidentally booked another place during our search for accommodation!

More like Caravan park chalets.

Functional and practical and the location is great (walk to everything) and Pour House pub nearby is excellent for food and beer - though gets noisy later but doesn't go too late. We could not close upstairs louvers so kids complained about the noise a bit as #3 is fairly close to the Pour House (good for me though ;-)

Would have been happy to pay $150~180 as that is the type of accommodation it is not $300+ / night we paid expecting something much more up market as a quick weekend away treat.

#3 is cold and feels like a enclosed carport downstairs as the mezzanine has been extended it add another bed to the upstairs area - unfortunately this blocks off the only heating/cooling that is located upstairs.

"Self Contained" so if you use up the two starter pack supplied bog rolls need to go down the road the supermarket to purchase more.

Mattresses were stained and tired.

Dishwasher had old food rotting in the strainer/filter.

Cold concrete floors left over from partial reno (old tiles or lino removed) and then sealed.

Staff were friendly and offered a partial discount per night as compensation for our disappointment after we complained. Along with a couple of electric heaters to help.

Though they don't seem to understand any complaints with standard response being a copy and paste review of someone else that did like it. They probably paid much less...

Not sure I would stay again unless was cheap and place to crash after a day out.

If we knew what we where getting would have been happier customers.

Have stayed in much better for the $ in the area

I booked accomodation here over 9 months ago to stay in November 2020 and only just now in August have they cancelled my accomodation. This is an absolute disgrace, as now my friends and I are left stranded with absolutely no where to stay as very single place in Dunsborough, Busselton, Margaret River, Yallingup etc. is completely booked out. They listed themselves on the official Leavers website, only to cancel on us last minute. You can guarantee I will never come here to stay in the future, ever, as they have been extremely unprofessional, knowing very well that everyone that has booked to stay here during this time will not be able to stay anywhere else. Disgusted.

We stayed in a 2 story villa with an open top floor.
Villa was quite nice, but dirty toilet was not cleaned, the cutlery drawer had crumbs and grated cheese in it, window sills above the bathroom sink was thick with dirt, and bed upstairs had a sheet on it with large stain, not very appealing to sleep in.
I think it was way over priced for the type of accommodation, and would not consider this to be a resort in any way shape or form.
Top floor bed was pushed up against safety fence in the open plan wouldn't recommend these villas with kids as would be pretty dangerous not sure it would meet safety standards.
Wooden steps up to 2nd floor were so noisy anyone in the villa easily woken if upstairs guests needed to come down at night, units were quite hot, air-conditioning had to stay on especially for the top room, we couldn't shut our bedroom door as it would get hot.
Each window faced another very close villa so no privacy.
Accommodation is close to main cafes bakery and supermarkets.
For $330 a night i think much better options elsewhere.

Beware! Read the reviews!! Water off.. manager accused us of ignoring sms messages.. (out having dinner at the time) . Eventually she bought bucket of water and bottle ... then took the water away when I asked why we had to put it in the sink ( thinking washing our face and hands would be good) she insisted we wash our 2 dishes!! Accusations of being ungrateful??? Left us with nothing to drink or wash hands etc.. after I sent sms she bought 1 bottle water back. No way to wash hands, flush toilet, barely enough to drink all night for 2 and wash teeth. Overly aggressive (refer other responses to reviews). Always happy to help and understanding as it was me that informed them of broken pipe.. but.. Bizarre explanations to situation, aggressive responses, never have I submitted a negative review, but you need to be aware. Waiting for the sun to rise so we can leave! So sad as we don't get time to get away and this is the worst Experience we have ever had, The water pipe will be fixed but the manager may not be! As other people have experienced!

We rented a two storey unit for three of us. There is a heap of room and right in the centre of Dunsborough so very central to walk around town. With a full kitchen it was easy to cook breakfast or have dinner in and a quiet night. Great if a group of friends want to stay together.

Dear Trip Advisor Client All units with kitchens are equipped to cater to the maximum number of guests for that particular unit style, i.e. all crockery cutlery, pots, pans, with the exception of additional kitchen aids such as food processors or electric frypans etc. Most (but not all), also have a dishwasher. We look forward to welcoming you. Kind regards Management

all kitchen equipment is there, cups plates cooker and medium sized fridge. All bedding is supplied and there are laundry facilities in second bathroom of unit we stayed in. Normal bathroom stuff you would find in any hotel. There are two large shopping areas , including large Coles supermarket, within 10 minute walk of unit.
