Comfortable enough but bathroom needed a good clean. Mould in shower grout. No meals available on Tuesday evening or for Wednesday breakfast. Located by the Irwin River a short walk to Dongara town centre.

Great location for a small conference and meeting. Old Pub with a lot of history had all the facilities we needed, including WiFi, Projector and Screen, Coffee/Tea, Lunch and Drinks after the meeting.

We stayed overnight in room 20 which is a unit at the back of the accommodation building which is made up of separate bedroom plus a sitting area with cooking facilities. We went prepared for an old heritage property that would be tired and need of maintenance. This was the case, however the bathroom was spotless and the bed was... More

Lovely old building, worth visiting just to look at the building. Very friendly locals, whi gave us a bit of good natured cheek and a dog at the bar. Good fun. Beer $8 a pint, but as a oncer while we were up this way, worth it.

Stayed for one night whilst travelling in business and the room was comfortable and clean. The old buildings and grounds are very nice and the meal was huge! By country standards quite a nice place to stay. I stayed in a room with ensuite however some have to share a communal bathroom.

What has Dongara got going for it? Not a lot really and even when combined with Port Dennison it doesn't really get better. But within it is a place that could be a real gem, the Prioy Hotel. The site is an old nunnery and looking at it now you could imagine the nuns within doing what nuns do. The... More

The pictures of the priory Hotel really flatter the Hotel which is in need of a complete refurb. Our room was clean which is about all I can say, it was not very good. The whole place could do with a tidy up especially at the back. On the plus side the staff were very pleasant, there is a good... More

Have a walk around this beautiful old building! Partly restored. Nice gardens, pool and lawn areas, just lovely. The food was very basic but inexpensive, nice cold beer, but the main attraction is the atmosphere, which is super friendly, we've been several times and it's always like that. Like an old timey country pub.

Wonderfully historic hotel with history of Later use by Dominican nuns who ran a school for girls next door. Great place for a few drinks either in the old bar or outside in the gardens. Dog barked on arrival but was fine after you patted him on the head. Had a wander around the old school building next door which... More

The Priory has some nice features. The frontage of this historic building makes an imposing statement. So too does the lovely central staircase and the beautiful verandahs. But what disappointed us was that behind the façade was really primitive accommodation. Our room (#21) was small and very, very basic. Admittedly we had ensuite facilities but they were basic as well.... More
