Detailed Reviews
Had the pleasure of staying in a Deluxe Chalet. The Chalet was equipped with everything we could possibly need . The Views out over the Ocean are amazing and even though it was windy it didn’t detract from the beauty of the location. Our Chalet was lovely and clean and the beds comfortable, As we stayed as part of a group ( some family in tents on powered sites) we used the BBQ area and camp kitchen so that we could all eat together plenty of tables and lots of room. The powered sites are large with plenty of room for two tents and gazebos I highly recommend the Park and would definitely would stay there again

We say at the park reguarly. We both find staff happy & helpful.
Amenites are kept clean and in good working condition and this includes the quaint barbecue area!
We camp using a softfloor camper with annex which suits all the well grassed sites. Water is great quality and most sites have power available.

Really nice, well kept caravan park. I called an hour before arrival and the staff were very friendly and happy to help us out. She put us on site 63 which is protected from the wind considering we were swagging it. Bathrooms were clean and it is in a great location. Our dog, Opie also loved his stay! We will for sure be back. (Site 63 is protected, has water and power and is close to the bathrooms)
Payed for an unpowered site $29

Friendly and helpful receptionist, Hannah helped us to change into a non windy site.
The sites up the back are well deigned like rooms, each site divided by trees makes them more private.
Wifi was excellent
The non bitumen roads around the park need some work, pot holes and mudslides are not pleasant to drive over.
One ablution block to service the whole park is way not enough.

Good morning stormy and thank you fir your review. So glad Hanna got you into the protected wind sites for your stay. You are correct the toads do need sealing and this is in discussion now with a raid company. It’s been waaaaay too long on our to do sheet. There are two ablution blocks and both are open … maybe you only used one of them. Warmest regards Ron and Sue

+1
We stayed for 3 days & wished we booked to stayed longer
Our little cottage was right on the walkway beach front
Perfect uninterrupted ocean views
Our unit had modern decor, well looked after and very clean net and tidy.
Self contained with all amenities that you would need
The park itself is well situated far enough away from the Main Street but close to everything you need
The grounds are well kept, caterers for everyone.
Reception staff were friendly and so lovely and very professional.
There are other parks in the area but Dongara Tourist Park is tucked back from the Main Street where the other one is right in a traffics flow area, which in my opinion would be noisey.
We will definitely be back.
Oh - close to them was a place called Sotheby’s Bar and Grill - fabulous food
Further toward to town centre just over the bridge was a place called Poppies in the Park - coffee and Pastries to die for, not to mention amazing service.

As a group of 8, we split across 2 different style cabins. One, the deluxe was a little older but had ocean views from the dining area where you can watch the sun go down. The cabin was fine and had 1 double bed and the second room had bunk beds, there was enough crockery and utensils to keep you going through your stay with out the need to bring more. The shower was always hot and powerful. All in all it is a great, cosy cabin with amazing views all the way along south beach.
The Regency still had great views, and again you can watch the sun go down after a beautiful day. The accommodation is more modern and a larger living area. The shower though, does run out of hot water.
We stayed for 3 days and rate the time there a 5, the park is in a great location, the town has all the amenities you require for a short stay and everyone is friendly.
I would highly recommend a stay at this park and the small fishing town of Port Denison.

Dear Scottie Thank you for your review and for choosing Dongara Tourist Park for your New Year Celebrations. Yes the views from the cabins is quite beautiful and the sunsets can be very special also. I will investigate the hot water in the regency cabin ...they shouldn't run out of hot water because they are an instantaneous gas hot water system, so my apologies. We do hope we can look forward to seeing you again at the park and Sue and I wish you a very happy and safe 2020. warmest wishes Ron and Sue

This would have to be one of the best caravan parks travelling up the west coast. Well priced, selection of good level site types, grassed concrete slab or grassed mat sites . Ablutions are always spotless with good hot water. Park is always well maintained, a credit to them. Owners are friendly and helpful. Never had a bad stay there yet.

What a nice cozy little place with friendly staff. It’s not the most modern camp ground we have stayed at but everything was clean and tidy and the showers had great water pressure (it was the first shower in a long time I could really wash my hair). We stayed on a powered site right next to the jumping pillow so my two kids remained entertained without using their devices.
This was only an overnight stop on our way back from up north and I wish we had made it two so we had time to look around a bit. The grounds are nicely situated to the beach and Port Denison.

Good afternoon and thank you for your lovely review and yes what a shame you didn't have time to have a really good look around ...maybe next time. While we have always taken pride to ensure our ablutions are always kept at a high standard we have intensified our routines to include hospital grade disinfectant and hand sanitizing stations to ensure all our guests feel safe and confident. Our staff have attended a number of meetings to ensure our housekeeping procedures are using best practice methods. All this so our guests can relax and be assured they are in a safe environment. Looking forward to seeing you again on your next trip ...until then our very best wishes Ron
