Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When Rod showed me our room (the smallest I ever saw in the southern hemisphere!!) and told me: "You will be perfectly fine" I had strong doubts and offered to pay more to have a bigger room (but there was none) But, guess what, we have been perfectly fine!! A lot of rooms but a very quiet crowd. We slept very well for our 2 nights. Very comfortable mattress, pillows. Great carpet in the hall. Everything is thought that you feel great and you do. High marks for these hosts and place warmly recommended!!

My significant other and I had the pleasesure of spending a few nights at 31 On The Terrace a few years ago (December 2019) and I still recall the experience since the proprietors are just about the sweetest people in town. So hat's off to Rob and Debbie if they're still running the place. We booked the smallest room there, and it was still great. Side note: Remember to bring a car if you visit Denmark, since most attractions are far away. We forgot and the proprietor took pity on us and gave us a lift to the local brewery (also worth a visit).

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are nice. Street facing but nice to have a little extra space to chill.

Cannot express enough how highly I rate this charming place. Fantastic central location in the heart of town and full of old world charm. Everyone incredibly welcoming - comfy room and nice and quiet at night. Easy stroll to cafe for breakfast and the shops and a walk along the river. Just love this place.

Manager was friendly and extremely helpful with our luggage as there are a few stairs. Room was large and spacious but I would recommend a balcony room. Bed was comfy but the bathroom facilities were a little small, but did the job. Overall a great central location to stay, plus they had a in-house cat called Daisy who was sweet.

Lovely helpful owners. We had 2 nights in the large Hollywood room and there were extra bunks for a family. The room had a small shower room and separate toilet. Brilliant location and private car parking. Clean and value for money. Thankyou

Stayed here for 1night out of 2, room was really small, just enough room to walk around bed. Charged more for the room than advertised on wotif. Had to climb numerous stairs with heavy bags. When asked about the wi fi ot working I got some excuse about the modem had been hit by lightning Found somewhere else in Denmark to stay for night 2

An old. but well maintained, quirky hotel with all rooms on the first floor up several flights of stairs. So not suitable for dragging up heavy suitcases or for those who have trouble with stairs. We stayed in a 15 square metre queen bed room for one night and while the room had all the necessary amenities and was in good condition, there was little room to move around the bed. There was a spacious balcony off the room but it could only be accessed via a sliding door and down more stairs and it got very hot in the afternoon so we didn’t use it. My suggestion if staying here, if you can handle the stairs, is to make sure you book a bigger size room. Our friends booked a room with a king size bed and the room was big enough, or there are very big family rooms available.
