We stayed at the Forest Cottage for four nights with our two young children, and loved every moment of our stay. The cottage is located only a few minutes from Denmark town centre but you wouldn’t know it, the beautiful forest setting is so quiet and tranquil that you feel like you are miles from anyone else. Waking up every morning to the sound of birds chirping, sipping our morning coffees on the balcony overlooking beautiful native flowers and incredible bush foliage, being greeted by the friendly resident kangaroos - these are just some of the experiences that made our stay so wonderful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the beds luxuriously comfortable and the bathtowels soft. We were provided with some lovely smelling handmade lavender soap for our stay and I was also pleased to see ‘Who Gives a Crap’ recycled toilet paper stocked. The cottage is completely self contained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, inc. fireplace, radio, washing machine and a variety of cooking utensils. Elsa the host was polite, friendly, and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend Bombina Cottages and will definitely be staying again!

I stayed at the Bombina cottages in Denmark recently. The cottage was spotless on our arrival, it had all the amenities you need and the first thing that I noticed on arrival was the sound of the birds. I went onto the balcony and was immediately amazed to see the wild life in front of you. There were kangaroos, rabbits and different types of birds the 28s in particular were super friendly. They would perch on the balistrading and look at you without any fear and chatter. This was something that made me realise what we miss living in the city. It was so peaceful and the views of the Wilson inlet was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Blue Wren cottage and was sorry to have to leave such a beautiful place that was a home away from home. This definitely won’t be my last visit to the cottage and I highly recommend anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday close to nature this is the place to go you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in the Eco cottage for 4 nights. Nestled up the top of the property on the forrest edge. Amazing view! Beautiful wild flowers. Large open paddock with grazing kangaroos. Wonderful spot and so close to town.

The cottage is definitely rustic and eclectic but in a good way. It’s all very nice and clean and well thought out with lots of storage and prep areas for cooking. It’s also very cozy with the fire place and comfy couches.

We would say that this cottage is best for an older family as anyone with little kiddies might find the split levels and separate sleeping area a bit hard to negotiate. The cottage accommodated six of us with ease with our youngest being 10 so it suited us perfectly.

Elsa the owner was amazing and very easy to work with. Great communication and we could see she thinks about all the little details. We’ll be back again and tell all our friends!!!!

This is a beautiful location with great views to the Wilson inlet from both the balcony and bath tub. The property is secluded with plenty of wildlife and is kept clean and well serviced. However, if you are offered the “Eco Cottage” do heed the warnings on the literature it reads “Please note that there are a few steps outside (under cover) to go from one building to the next and to the toilet.” This is true, you do need to leave the main living area walk through the carport up 3 steps, walk along the side of the carport, then follow the outside of an adjoining building up 10 ( irregular) stone steps, then up another 3 steps to the balcony of a separate building where you will find the compost toilet. This trek is “undercover” but you cannot avoid getting wet if it is blustery and raining and it is not a trek you would like to make in the middle of the night even though it is lit up. We would not stay here again however we may consider one of the other units

I am so glad you enjoyed the Eco cottage. Yes there are a few steps outdoors undercover from the lower building to the toilet, however there are 2 bedrooms upstairs right next to the toilet ... if night time is an issue ... and those are the bedrooms with the best views! Wake up to a different light over the inlet each morning, early mists and sunrise ... it is divine!

This was the third time I had returned to Bombina and I was not disappointed.
Forest Cottage is a peaceful, wildlife haven with a great view.
Deb is a great host who responds promptly to any messages. The cottage itself is very clean and well-supplied. It was quite cold when I visited but Deb had laid a fire in the stove which soon warmed up the cottage. If you like peace and quiet coupled with nature on your doorstep Bombina fits the bill!

We had a wonderful stay at Bombina Cottages. The location was close to the town centre, but far enough away to be secluded in the bush. The Wood fire, comfy beds and majestic view was conjusive of a peaceful stay. Thank you Elsa

We have stayed here on several occasions now and fine the Blue Ren Cottage or favourite although the others and just as good. The wild life love to visit during the day and the view from the balcony toward the bay through the gap in the tall tree is delightful. Only 1km from the centre of town and away from traffic. The cottage is cozy and during the cold months the wood fire is well worth the stay.

This is such a lovely place. We will definitely be back for more visits. The cottage we stayed in is gorgeous and very comfortable. Perhaps the best bed I’ve slept in while travelling!
The wildlife is so rich and beautiful. We had kangaroos, 28s (ring necked parrots), doves, and multiple types of wrens join us on the veranda each morning and evening. Well the Roos bounded by in front of the verandah but always stopped in front to munch away.
The cottage has all the facilities you need and extra little added touches that made our stay a memorable experience.

We stayed for three nights in Forest Cottage and I can't recommend it more highly. Kangaroos greeted us on arrival. The cottage was lovely, beautifully clean and in a tranquil rural setting. The following morning we were met by a blue wren when we emerged from the cottage.
Our host, Elso is terrific, so helpful. We will be back!
