We stayed 2 nights in 'Wonder' great location 5 mins from town and close to wineries and beaches. A 2 bedroom chalet with comfy beds, great views, cosy log burner for cool nights and spa bath after a big day, they even provide birdseed for the native visitors.
Hosts very friendly. Fantastic stay, wished we had longer

From the moment we checked in meeting the lovely owners to walking through the doors to our chalet ‘Harmony’ we were thoroughly impressed. Everything was spotless, a fully equipped kitchen catering for everything you would need to cook a delightful meal, a pod coffee machine and lovely cutlery (this is very important 😉) beautiful linen & towels and comfy bed and great pillows.
A wonderful place to relax and just breath.
We can’t wait to come back, thank you 😊

We really loved our stay here. The welcome we had, the standard of the chalet and the view were all exemplary. We enjoyed cooking here as there were lots of places to buy food from in Denmark, we explored the area, visiting wineries and walking around the lagoons and watersides. When we came back to our chalet, peace descended, we lit the log stove, ate our home cooked food and watched the wild life come and go in front of us. We caught up with our washing in the nearby laundry area and were helped along with any queries by Lorraine and Frank who couldn’t do enough to help and were truly delightful people.

We had high reminiscent hopes for this place, having stayed here 15 years ago. We had called ahead to advise we were running an hour late after the scheduled check in time, and the management staff were very friendly and professional.
We checked into our five person chalet. The staff had not accommodated our children, so apologized, handed us the linen to make their beds late at night and accordingly charged us $25 per child, per night for this privilege. (But no extra soap, shampoo or toilet paper provided, we just went pot and bought more toilet paper, two rolls not enough for 5 people for 3 nights).
Although seemingly cozy, the chalet was bitterly cold and damp, and we were told to just put the reverse split system heater on. (Would have been lovely if they’d heated this up for us... they knew were were arriving). The Master bedroom downstairs does not get heated up or have heating so it was like a freezer. The Reverse heater must be turned off when you leave the chalet at anytime - the front door key is secured to the heater key ignition so you don’t have a choice).
There’s a log fire inside, however there were minimal fire lighters and a laundry buckets worth of wood supplied... (equivalent to 2 hours worth of log fire burning). Anything after is $5 each bucket. There was also no oven in our chalet, so that was tricky with a few food items we’d bought. An abrupt sign over the sink, makes you wash those dishes and commands you put these away unless you want to be charged $60 upon checkout to your credit card.
If you have young or older kids, this place is very limited in space inside and outdoor. Although seemingly lush and spacious, the green fields these look out onto are fenced off for no good reason. There is no livestock. Our kids played on the driveway with the visitors cars passing frequently.
We could have asked for a refund as we’d originally booked over a COVID period of restricted travel, however instead postponed and even extended our stay to support local WA business.
We did kindly did provide them this feedback, but the managers just took some notes. It’s been a month now so I’m confident that this was not addressed any further.
Overall, look for another place. This one needs many things tweaked for a more comfortable experience all round.

Responding to this very negative review has been difficult because as Frank and I now aware this in no way reflects the standard that Karma Chalets is known for. The booking was originally made for 2 adults When rebooked there was no mention of extra guests therefore we were not expecting there to be three additional guests. Your feedback was noted as you mentioned and has been taken into account. We have seven lovely black faced sheep which our guests adore, hence the fence. Kind regards Frank and Lorraine

You will find Karma Chalets approximately 5 minutes from the centre of Denmark. Where you will find 10 Chalets catering for all occasions nestled up on the hill looking back over bushland and some with views of the inlet. We stayed in th Destiny chalet which we loved. The chalet comes with 2 bedrooms , one upstairs with its own bathroom and another downstairs with it own spa bathroom. The chalet is fully equipped with kitchen,air-conditioning, wood fire, BBQ and balconies. We found the chalet clean, comfortable and cosy. If you don't want to cater for yourself the are many places to eat which are close . We had lunch at The Dam which we would highly recommend.
Thank you Lorriane for a magical and relaxing few days.......look forward to staying again

We stayed in Fortunate Chalet for 5 nights. After a friendly welcome from Frank with some welcome tips on local cuisine, wineries and scenic spots, we settled into our well equiped cosy cottage. Great views from the balcony down towards the inlet. Enjoyed the wood fire every evening and observing the birds eating the complimentary seeds. Great base from which to explore Denmark and surrounds.

Thanks for the great review. It is always our aim to greet our guests to show them what the Denmark area has to offer. The wood fire makes a cozy end to a winter holiday day.

Our car was not drivable after hitting a roo on the way into Denmark. Managers Frank and Lorraine offered to come and get us, however the wonderful Mike from Talisman Towing delivered us to the front door. Frank and Lorraine were incredibly sympathetic and supportive during our 3-night stay and even lent us their work ute each afternoon so we could enjoy the sights and go to some favorite restaurants. They also delivered us to the bus stop in Denmark for our journey home. Tranquility unit was clean, very comfortable and suited us perfectly. If I could give Frank and Lorraine 10 stars I would.

We only spent 3 days at these beautiful chalets but totally enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. The host was extremely helpful and friendly, and the chalets themselves near to many attractions. The view from the balcony was splendid, and you could see over the trees to the sea. Every morning we were greeted by various rather plump birds, some of which you could feed by hand! The chalet was extremely well-appointed and had a very comfortable bed; the shower and bath were fine. The kitchen contained all the equipment you could need. We would definitely return here.

We got exactly what we were looking for. Peace, relaxation, serenity in a beautiful forest setting with fantastic views to Wilson Inlet. We stayed in the "Peace" family chalet. It was very clean, fully equipped kitchen, reverse cycle air con, beds were comfortable, had a 2 person spa, bbq on the balcony and a complimentary box of wood was provided for the wood fire. A variety of birds darted amongst the trees and a jar of complimentary bird seed was provided to feed the birds.
The chalets are a five minute drive to the centre of Denmark and close to the beautiful beaches, wineries and restaurants. Highly recommended if you are looking for peace, quiet, relaxation and in a beautiful part of Denmark.

We really wanted to like this place as it is close to town and in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness let this place down. Without being dramatic, the chalet was infested with bugs and spiders, and had new and old spider webs visible throughout. 3 out of the 5 nights I encountered wolf spiders who had taken up residence, and there were cockroaches, ants and beetles throughout. It needs a thorough cleaning and bug bombing, and led to an uncomfortable and nerve racking stay. The glasses were filthy which is a testament to why the previous customers should not be relied upon to clean the dishes for the next occupants. The heater was handy. Wi-fi would have been great as phone reception was very poor to non-existent (with Telstra), and the bed was comfortable. The room was not serviced for the entire 5 nights we were there, which appears to be their policy. This was surprising as the amount we paid for our stay really should have included this service. I would have liked to say more good things about this place, but the negative overshadowed the good for us and overall we were left disappointed by things that are well within the control of the owners/managers, and therefore we will look for other accomodation for our next stay.

We are disappointed you didn't enjoy your stay. Unfortunately your experience in no way reflects the high standard of Karma Chalets and staff. We offer a unique bush setting in which there are many creatures and animals ,it happens sometimes they like to visit indoors. This season saw an unprecedented influx not only at Karma but the whole district of Denmark of Christmas beetles. It would have been better to have come to us as we invite all guests to do if something is out of order, unfortunately mistakes can happen. Please refer to past reviews. Kind regards Frank and Lorraine (Manager's)
