Detailed Reviews
From the moment we drove through the narrow, unsealed road leading to the retreat, we said "well, this is just the kind of place we need". It's located near top wineries along Scotsdale road and not far from other places we went to, but what we loved was how it was just encapsulated in nature. We were just 1 of 4 chalets, we stayed in Tingle which is located highest on the slope - so a benefit in my mind. Every morning we watched their farm animals graze the extensive grounds, and at times, they came up pretty close to the chalet. The chalet itself was tastefully furnished, fully equipped, and the kitchen had oil, spices that came in handy for cooking and enjoying the lovely wines we picked up along the way. Basic toiletries are provided, and when we noticed there was no hand wash in the bathroom, we merely asked Adam (the owner) the next day, and he gave us a new bottle. So just ask if anything is missing. The owners are super friendly, so is their adorable goldie who decided to run up to our chalet one day! Just a teeny note, if you're a total city dweller like me, it is a little "scary?" driving up and down the steep, tiny, dirt road leading to the retreat if you're not used to it, so best to arrive during daylight and we also intentionally changed our dinner reservation at Pepper and Salt to lunch because there are no lights in the forest area, naturally, and we were not comfortable driving out in pitch darkness from the retreat. Also, the owners will give you detailed instructions to find the place, follow them and you'll be fine! Great stay of our recent Great Southern trip!

A gorgeous tranquil of peaceful bliss nestled within the rolling hills of Denmark. We stayed in the Karri cabin and absolutely loved our stay. The cabins are clean and spacious and the spa bath is relaxing. The views are breathtaking while sitting on the balcony watching the animals in the paddock and the sun setting over the landscape. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. Adam & Ashlea go out of their way to welcome you. We highly recommend this place for couples and families and will return in the future.

The house was warm, immaculate and comfortable. It was very welcoming and we felt truly at home. Would highly recommend to any couple or family. Ashlea is an amazing host. We stayed in Redgum and were very very comfortable as a party of 3. We were looking for tranquility and to be as far away from stress as possible, and we found it without the sense of being isolated. Just perfect.

Stayed 3 nights in the single bedroom Tingle chalet.
This one is situated at the bottom of the steep hill so very secluded.
The chalets are very well equipped, neat and modern.
Wonderful balcony looking out to the wilderness with some cows, alpacas and sheep.
Our pup had a great time making friends with the alpacas.
Adam was very kind checking in and ensuring we were comfortable.
All in all a perfect stay and exactly what we needed.

This was our second time at Karrak Reach Retreat, if you are looking for peace and tranquility then Karrak Reach Retreat is for you. We totally unwound and our little dog was able to go exploring in the Forrest on the trails. The Highland cattle was a highlight as he called his "herd" (alpacas, sheep and other cattle) for breakfast and the Kookaburras were great as a wake up alarm. The owners Adam & Ashleigh were absolutely wonderful, welcoming and friendly and made our stay comfortable and gave us great tips on where to eat and places to go when you have a family pet and even their dog made ours feel at home. I cannot praise Adam & Ashleigh enough. If you need to get away unwind and revitalize this is the place for you. 10/10 guys thank you.

We stayed in the Karri 2 bedroom chalet and we were instantly impressed with the energy efficient chalet and incredible outlook from the balcony. There are three chalets, yet very private. You won't be dissapointed.
