We were advised that the hotel offered great value dinners and decided to sample the fare instead of self catering. I selected the scotch fillet and chips with addition of garlic prawns, my wife a grilled fish with accompanying chips. We enjoyed an SSB and Shiraz while we waited. We both enjoyed our meals, cooked perfectly, plenty on the plate and all fresh and tasty.
We had one night, and we almost missed out on that. passing thought we said we would stay at the Coorow Hotel, because of our family association with this Pub. Checked in all fine, had a drink at the very noisy bar, grubby bar tables, but we found a dry one, so that was ok. Informed the staff member that gave us our key that we were going out to visit friends for dinner, got back to the hotel at 2230hrs and we could not get in, finally woke a person up, who was kind enough to let us in, old bed, springs pushing though, clean room, shared facilities which we were aware of, and this hotel has always been that way, next morning I was criticized for making noise after we tried to get back into the hotel, did not bother to argue, it would have been a wasted effort, a simple sign on the front door and a phone number is all that is needed, left early, Our history with this hotel made us want to stay, on this trip, we will not stay again, although I am sure the supervisor will not learn from the lesson, a hotel keepers job is to look after the patrons, a simple notice on the front door or a sheet of instructions in the room, or even a notice on the massive key fob would have been really good.…
My husband and I spent a most comfortable and enjoyable night in this sensitively renovated hotel. Spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished to match the history of this community owned hotel. Stacey was efficient, friendly, and helpful. The bar food generous and tasty. Dining was by a roaring fire, breakfast simple ,self service and included. Highly recommended !
Would recommend stopping at the Coorow Hotel for lunch on a Sunday. Meal was fabulous, staff very friendly and the facilities excellent Put it on your trip planner when visiting the region on your wild flower tour
1929 frontier hotel is a clean, comfortable place to stay. Bar and restaurant plus breakfast room. Casual place to visit with locals and travelers. North of Perth and convenient for spring wildflower treks.
