Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had 2 meals at the restaurant as the meals are so good. Service is also excellent. Well worth a visit. Collie is also a very friendly town with plenty of sights to see. We went to see the Wellington dam mural and found out that there are quite a number of other murals spread out throughout the town as well as interesting historical displays.

We were recommended the Feddy for a meal. We went and we were not disappointed. The meals were beautiful, we sat outside. Would we go back absolutely, totally recommended. It would be a good place to go when there was live music. Clean and tidy, good signs on the toilets.

Ordered rare 200g steak. Great price. When my rare steak came it was perfectly cooked, nicely cooked veggies and mash to accompany it. A mix of peas, corn, park/bok choy and an ample serving. Service was prompt and appreciated. Thank you very much will recommend in the future

Visited tonight for dinner. We eat early so there were plenty of tables. Hubby had Mexican parmi and I had mushroom burger. Both serving generous and hot as meals should be. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and tables were cleared quickly. The B & B we were staying at recommended Federal and we weren't disappointed.

I have Coeliac Disease and had a lovely gluten free dinner at the Collie Federal Hotel last week. Both Andrew, a wait staff person, and the kitchen staff took the time to ensure that the meal I ordered was a healthy choice for me. They readily gave me advice about the ingredients in the dish. This was very much appreciated by me as eating gluten while on holiday can be very distressing.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Beer was ice cold and lots to choose from. You can get a few games of pool or darts in before dinner. Meals were so good we had dinner there for all of the three nights we were in Collie.

This is the worst pub in Australia. Worst beet list, worst wine list, worst food, worst service, worst decor. It is a complete dump, avoid it like the plague. The rooms stink of workers. The foreigners who run this place have no clue when it comes to Australian standards...Avoid this place if you are looking for a good pub.

Very nice meals (cannot comment on the accommodations) pork chop was very nice and husband had lovely lamb shanks. Reasonable prices. Waiting time not too bad considering that they were quite busy. Clean and tidy. No complaints about anything
