This is a lovely please to stay the free breakfast is fantastic, crumpets, raisin bread, other choices of bread, cereals, porridge, tea, coffee, juice, there was a great choice. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Bed was comfy and they even have laundry you can use free of charge. The location is fantastic you can walk into the heart of town within minutes and there are plenty of amenities close by. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 7 nights and were very pleased with this motel. Our room was very big and cleaned daily with fresh towels every second day.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, twice when we messed up the tv controls, nothing was too much trouble.
The free continental breakfast game a big variety of cereals, types of bread and even crumpets. Fruit and yoghurt also available.
It was very hot while we were there so we were sooo glad to jump into the lovely pool every afternoon. My one criticism is the lack of sun loungers and the wooden tables and chairs looking very tired.
We see Collie as a base to visit many places in the area so was perfect.
Would definitely recommend this place.

The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the motel doesn’t have a restaurant. In all other respects the Banksia exceeded expectations. Location: very close to the centre of town but because it is set back from the main road our stay was very quiet. Room: was really spacious, well serviced, clean and we’ll decorated. Carpets on the floors help the overall feel. Staff very friendly and helpful - the desk is not manned 24hrs, but there is someone available at regular times. The pool area is really good, with enough loungers and a barbecue area and is screened well by the hedging surrounding it. Plates and cutlery are available from the breakfast room. We stayed as part of a vacation - lots to see and do around Collie and would want to stay nowhere else.

We chose to stay at this motel on our recent overnight stay in Collie. Of all the places i have stayed in during my travels in W.A. this would have to be one of the best. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Had just recently been renovated with new carpets. The whole place had a good feel about it. There was a " NO VACANCIES " sign up but when we went for breakfast we didn't see anyone. Strange. The continental breakfast was good and thanks to Annie for your service and conversation. Highly recommended.

I rang to make a booking and the manager was very helpful over the phone. I mentioned I just had a hip replacement and couldn’t climb stairs so she put me in the disabled room with walk-in shower.
Checkin friendly and easy. Room was lovely and spacious. Bathroom was also spacious and had plenty of toiletries. Both rooms spotless.
The breakfast room was lovely and the continental breakfast that was supplied had a great selection of things to choose from.
This property inside and out is very well maintained and clean. Also in a very quiet area. Parking outside your room.

This would have to be the best motel we've stayed in. Unique layout of whole establishment meant doors to rooms are inside a lovely carpeted hallway as opposed to the usual entrance from outside. A continental breakfast was provided in the lovely dining room. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Swimming pool was a bonus in the hot weather. Centrally located in a lovely town. Staff attentive and helpful. Highly recommend it.

The motel was ideally located near the city centre, so you could walk anywhere. It seems to be uniquely set up to run without many staff but it curiously works. The lady at reception checked us in quickly and then showed us to our room and the dining room, where the self service breakfast operates from.
The motel was spotless. They're having new carpets and new painting done so investing it in its future. The motel has a pool too, but it was too cold to use it.
The bedroom was spacious, comfy and clean.

Check in was quick and friendly. Room was large, comfortable and clean. It looks like the whole place has been renovated recently. There was a "No Vacancies" sign on the reception desk but, strangely, we didn't see a single other guest during out 3 night stay so it was all very quiet. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were taking part in a Stephen King movie. Dinner was not served there but the Federal Hotel was a two minute walk away and the food there was great. Collie town centre was a 10 minute walk away so it's well located.

Why does the owner/manager park 2 vehicles in the reception bay so you can't check in? This is the first impression at this hotel and its not good. If its raining there is no thought for the guest. Putting this aside, the owner/manager is very friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The pub across the road sells great food for dinner. The hotel is quiet at night but I think the internal door to connect rooms need some sound proofing. I woke up at 5am to our neighbour getting ready for work. It actually sound like they are physically in your room! All in all this is a good hotel, comfortable, clean and good facilities.

We stayed overnight in a room near the pool. The rooms are all very tidy and clean. The best is amongst the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Breakfast was simple but hearty. The pool looked great- I only wished I had time to make use of it. Will be back for sure. Won’t bother staying anywhere else in collie in future. The only gripe was it was a Saturday night and all the patrons of the pub across the way had parked in the motel parking bays and we couldn’t get one.
